i purchased this item based on my fathers experience with his. however when i received my generator it would not start. i called customer service and they are supposed to call me back tomorrow. i am assuming the best with customer service or ill change this review

For the price this is a good generator! The 240 volts part is great to have as on rare occasions I need that. Not the loudest or the quietest but about the middle. The dual fuel is a great thing to have! Was able to plumb it to a 40 and 100lbs tank.c9mes in very handy when away from conventional power!

Needed a generator for Hurricane IDA recovery and this unit was just what I was looking for. Dual fuel, sufficient power @ 120/240 for my house and especially for my 30amp RV with the convenient TT-30R outlet that will allow me to plug in a safe distance (25ft) from my trailer.

I recently purchased a Westinghouse dual fuel generator. It performs exceptionally well and I particularly like the fact that I can fuel it using my propane tank vs having to accumulate and store gallons of gasoline. I highly recommend this generator.

Like most jere, went shopping after storms took power out for most of the day. Found this at a very decent price. The two fuel types is an added plus. Running the initial hour to get it settled i and shouldn’t have to worry about those outages again. Also talked 3 others into purchasing while there just by explaining some of the features.

Just bought it today and haven't used it yet. Westinghouse has been around for years and they have always been reliable. If I'm not mistaken they built the turbine generators on the submarine I was on during my tour in the Navy. I feel very comfortable purchasing their products.

After having looked at many different generators in this size class, I finally opted for the Westinghouse WGen5300DFv. I bought it to replace my old generator for Hurricane Idalia, and I have to say that I was pleasantly impressed with this unit! It started right up in both modes, Gas and Propane; and it also switched over seamlessly from gas to propane. For the price to feature comparison, I couldn’t be happier.

I haven't had it for much time but setup and everything went smoothly. Started on the third pull out of the box. Great features and the 240v option will come in very handy, great price! Not 5 stars only because I haven't had it that long (and wanted the bonus item).

Every year I tell myself I am going to buy a generator and every year I don't. This year is different. I came across this Westinghouse WGen5300DFV at my local Sam's. I liked its compact size, and the ability to power it with gasoline or propane. I have not used it in a necessary situation but I have ran it through various trials and have come away impressed. I would give it 5 stars but I have not used it long -term yet. I can't wait for my power to go out!!!

Love this generator! Absolute beast! A must have as a back-up power source, just in-case the worst case scenario happens, even for black outs during the hot summer months, or a bad rain storm knocks out the power for a day or two, which never ever happened yet, living in Brooklyn New York City, but hey you never know! Heard things like someone attacking our infrastructure, this is a must have! It runs great, quite and always have power an extra tool or appliance!
