Lots of versatility.

I bought the unit to help provide emergency electrical power to house for potential city power grid outages. The unit is easy starting, quiet running, has variable power means, provides variable electrical power voltages outputs and in sufficient power KW loading. I would like to keep my personal Identifiable Information confidential and not shared to third parties.

Gulf Coast Relief

This generator will be a great relief and a very useful tool. I live very near the Gulf Coast, and our family has endured more than one hurricane, which knocked out electricity for days. This generator will enable us to live in our home without going back to the Stone Age. Plus, this generator will enable us to use power tools on our property, which were heretofore without access to electric power.

Works for exactly what we need!

I bought this after we lost power three times for 4 days each time. After all the food we lost we were frustrated and exhausted from the outages. This generator has been a life saver, and has paid for itself twice since we bought it. It’ll run heaters for winter and a fan in the summer as well as your fridge and charge your phones. It’s exactly what my family needed.

Keeps life normal!

I really love this generator. We seem to lose power mostly during Winter storms. I trust Westinghouse products. This unit provides a solid 5300 RUNNING watts on gas. I just have to plug in the L14-30 cable, flip the switch to 240V, start the engine and my whole house is powered up. No, we’re not able to run everything in the house all at the same time on 5300 watts, but during a power outage we are able to run almost everything in our house (stove, microwave, water heater, furnace, etc.) to keep our family and our home safe and comfortable. I like the fact we don’t have to trip over extension cords laying everywhere all over the floor, and no longer have to fish those cords through an open window while stuffing towels in trying to keep the cold air out. There’s no electric start, but my unit starts on the first pull. Dual fuel capability, built in cushioned folding transport handle, runtime/voltage/frequency meter for monitoring the electrical output – love these little added features. And it came with the wheel transport kit (something many other companies make you buy separately). I found it to be a dependable portable generator at a super great price. This unit truly makes life a LOT more “normal” when the power goes out!

Looks good out the box

I Bought this generator this month October 2022. Arrived prior to the expected delivery date which was great. Easy assembly , only needed to add the wheels and oil. Oil was in included. I wait later to add gas. It really looks good. I am not wishing for a power outage however can’t wait to use it. I can just wheel it easy into my garage. I like the duel fuel option of either fuel or propane.

Westinghouse 5300 Generator

After I got it all set up, it started on the second pull! Seems like a solid little machine, but haven't had to use it in any long-term situation. The only con that I can speak of right now is that the oil fill position is very hard to get to and I seemed to put more oil on the ground than into the machine. Otherwise, I have zero complaints and am have full confidence in this machine.

Great Value, comfort and peace of mind

We bought this while on camping vacation in Florida. We had been considering getting a generator that could power our camper when we were at campsites off the grid. This Westinghouse has a 30-amp plug-in for the camper, and will run our 15,000 Btu air conditioner and all appliances in our camper. As an added benefit, we can use it as a back-up for our freezer, refrigerator, and other things in our home. It was very easy to assemble and start. Runs a bit louder than we wanted, but the cost and LP/gasoline dual fuel option offers additional benefits. Looking for added peace of mind when camping or future storms.

Perfect backup for home!

After a 7-hour blackout on a 100-plus-degree day, watching my two-year-old daughter trying to sleep in a 90 degree bedroom I was done. Bought this generator the next day and it's just what we needed. Obviously can't run the entire house, but will get us by through a California Central Valley summer I'm sure will bring us regular blackouts. Easy to operate and the dual fuel option, and multiple 120V outlets made this a no-brainer for the price

Love the Dual Fuel Option

I bought this to run our gas furnace blower to stay warm during our annual winter power outage in Texas. I'm going to have my electrician install a power transfer switch and plug to run my entire house when we lose power. (Of course I'll be super conservative with electricity and throw the breakers for anything that isn't absolutely necessary) I am hoping to be able to use lights, (1 room at a time), two gas furnaces and a hot water recirculation pump to stay warm and keep the pipes from freezing and busting again. (And possibly the tv and internet router) I love that its dual fuel so I can use it with my RV as well. I'm hoping I don't have to use it!

Cheers to glamping!

We can run the a/c in the 94 degree NC heat for our travel trailer, bake pizza and power the water pump for showers, all at once. It made our little Hilton on wheels (TT) feel like home away from home with all its power capabilities. We're impressed! It was easy to set up, it came with oil and the beginning necessities (tools + funnel) minus the obvious you need to also have on hand (it's gas). It isn't silent either, but when the a/c is on with full hookups you can't hear anything else but the a/c buzz so same difference. No regrets, the price is on par and quality as well
