We had a power outage for 8hours. 8hours! The operation instructions were straightforward and made a stressful situation manageable. Westinghouse made it easy to get started by including everything in the box. We only needed the fuel source and voila. We had power. We didn’t run a full load; we powered the modem for internet and about four electronic devices. The generator performed efficiently and powerfully for hours on end. It’s portable so it was easy to place exactly where we needed to run the power cord. Thanks W for making our inconvenience, “comfortable” with your outstanding performance 5300/4800 generator. I just purchased this generator as a backup power source when storms knock out power to hour home. I just purchased it yesterday and have not yet had a chance to use it. I did unpackage the unit and it appears to be well built and is lighter than I anticipated (which is good).

I bought this generator due to a power outage. The 5300w generator was sufficient for keeping the fridge, box freezer, sump-pump, and hot water tank going for a 3 day outage. I was also able to run TV, Wi-Fi, a space heater, and charge devices during the outage. It ran approximately 12 hours on a full tank of gas (4 gallons).

With this generator being propane or gasoline it gives me the advantage of not having to worry about gasoline spoiling and causing issues. If I run out of propane and still need to use it, I can just fill it with gasoline and keep operating. It's very versatile this way.

I bought this generator in May 2021 for use as backup power for my house and for powering my travel trailer on camping trips where there are no hookups. Upon unboxing and adding gas, the unit fired right up on the first pull. The unit has 6500 peak watts and 5300 running watts. We took it on a camping trip and it was able to power our 15K btu AC unit, and we ran our microwave at the same time. It is a large fairly loud unit that creates a lot of power. It does not have an Eco mode so it puts out full power all the time and uses a lot of gas. What's a great feature is that it also runs on propane as it comes (although it puts out a little less power on propane). In my test on a propane tank it ran fine. In all I think that with the power it delivers, the 3 year warranty, and the fact that it runs on propane, the unit is a great value and that I made a good decision in my purchase.

Right after Berle hit in the Houston area and we lost power, on day 2 without power, we purchase this generator to run our major appliances and other items as needed, It was very easy to assemble and start. Love it! It saved our food and peaceful sleeping with a fan and portable a/c.. Thank you!

Upon opening the box and start up, everything works as advertised. I added the engine oil and hooked the generator up to a propane source. It started on the fourth pull. I had the unit powering my entire house through a recently installed generator inlet within about 15 minutes. The longevity of the unit is TBD but so far so good.

Ran generator for 8 hours attached to my house using the RV 240 receptical and wired it into the the compressor fuse box which made my electrical panel hot on both legs. Make sure you turn off the main breaker before doing this. It ran two refrigerators, computers, lights with no trouble.

Bought this yesterday, haven't had a chance to put it through it's paces but the unboxing and prepping for use was a breeze. The tools necessary for assembly of feet and tires were included as was the oil. Just need to provide the gas and you're good to go.

I bought this generator just before a severe winter storm in December 2022. Our neighborhood lost power for about18 hours while the temperature plummeted -18 F. I used it to run our furnace. If we did not have the generator, our pipes would have burst. I was fortunate enough to found one that day. I will feel more secure in the future.
