My father has 2 WGen9500DF generators and they have been great. They have impressive power output for the cost and are well built. My only complaint (as expected with the larger engine) is that they are loud. Based on his experience, and now mine, I honestly believe Westinghouse is the best generator on the market. For my needs, less output than his WGen9500DF and quieter, this was the perfect generator spec. It starts quickly, and seems well built. No battery to maintain is a bonus in my opinion.

This is my first generator purchase, I looked at reviews on this generator before deciding to buy it. Installed two wheels, two support stands, oil and gas, it was ready to go. I gave it a couple of pulls and it wouldn't start. I took a step back to look it over and found that i hadn't put the fuel lever in the On position (that really helps). Pulled a couple more times and it fired up. Ran it for 40 minutes with a small load. its nice and quite. I really liked the screw on oil funnel, it worked perfectly (great idea).

The generator was bought and needed to be used immediately. It is a great product. It probably took longer to take it out of the box and put the wheels on than it was to get it up and going. It ran continuously for about 6–8 hours and was easy to refuel.

BOUGHT THIS TODAY. 30 MINUTES TO SET UP....INSTALLED WHEELS, ADDED OIL, AND READY TO GO. TESTED BOTH GAS AND PROPANE. WANTED SOMETHING SMALL AND NOT TOO HEAVY. NEEDED THE 120/240 30AMP RECEPTACLE. ADDING 30AMP INLET TO POWER THE BREAK BOX. NO COMPLAINTS. HAPPY CAMPER. MAYBE MOVE THE OIL DRAIN OVER A LITTLE TO THE RIGHT AND MAKE THE OIL FUNNEL AN INCH LONGER. WOULD RECOMMEND.

My Generator arrived in pristine condition. Once unboxed the instructions were clearly written and easy to follow, it took about 10 min to get it set up and running. I chose to run on LP gas. it started right up and was humming like a sewing machine. I would highly recommend getting one for your needs.

I bought this dual fuel generator not realizing how handy it would be. Living in Florida I always want a generator handy as once in a while we really need one for a few days in we have power off for a storm, then I always drain the fuel from the tank and carburetor so it will start the next time. With the propane fuel I can use it for odd jobs without having to drain the gas and get it ready for next time, much more useful than a standard generator!

I was surprised at how much quieter this was versus my Predator unit. The wheel kit with this unit is great and easy to install. I'm very impressed with the propane efficiency on this unit too. The tank is the right size. Other companies go smaller. My only complaint is that the handle is on the opposite side of the exhaust, but that is a personal preference. The toolkit is a very nice touch. It helps with draining the carb bowl. I'm impressed.

I bought the Westinghouse 5300 series generator on the day before hurricane francine , the assembly was quick and easy even during the middle of a hurricane it was easy to startup and maintain especially with the dual function I have no issues Recommend 10/10

Generator was very simple to start and operate, on my second try. First one I was shipped to as a dud and would not start. Second one arrived just fine—started up with some minor oil burning off & leaking. After that, it worked just fine for a 30 min test run. Overall quality seems just OK, but it does it’s job for the price.

I bought this generator to replace two other generators I had. Getting old takes a toll on RV campers. My old generators were pull start and didn't always start right away. Many pulls later I might get it started and have an aching back. My wife can't start it at all and wishes she could start it to run the microwave when I was away fishing. So having an electric start solved those problems. ADDING a remote start with that, means she doesn't even have to leave the RV to start it to run the AC or the microwave. At 64 dB the sound level is a bit higher than my old generator. My Honda 5000w pull start was around 56db. My 2000w generator was so quiet but couldn't run the microwave well. It was ok for charging the batteries running lights. I replaced it with 100w solar panels and batteries. Still, the solar charging system I have can't run the microwave or the AC when I want it. My plan is to mount it on a etrailer RV bumper shelf and there it will live during the summer season. It's too heavy for me and my wife to move at 135lbs. So I'm running it in for 5 hours with the AC at 2000w which is less than the max 2600 recommended for burn it in or <50% max rating. Changing it from AC to fan every 30 min or so to vary the load as recommended in the user manual. So far so good. I'm running it on propane with is what I'll like use most of the time cause I don't like having my fuel go bad or rust out the gas tank and plug up the fuel lines. I forgot to drain my gas last time I used the 5k generator and it made a mess in the tank and cost me $200 to repair it. Plugged the carburetor and all the fuel filters with rust. Had I sent it to the shop it would've cost me twice that. I was even using Stabilize to protect it but it was 2 years since I last used it. Next time I have to use gas I'll empty it like the owner manual recommends. It nice to have gas as an that option in a pinch. Other the the weight I'm happy with my choice. I was thinking of designing a portable lift or buying one of those motor cycle lifts to store it for the off season. Maybe I can start weight lifting... ;) or not!
