We used this generator for a day when we lost power at the RV park during the hottest time in summer. We were able to run the AC without a hitch. Currently we're in another power outage but this time in the freak winter storm all of Texas seems to be experiencing. The RV is staying warm and toasty with this generator. It is a bit on the loud side but we knew that when purchasing. The only criticism would be the wheels are too soft. Other than that we are happy we chose this generator over other options.

I bought this size generator to keep my chest freezer & 2 refrigerators running when south TX starts having " Rolling Blackouts " like Cal. When they designed this model, they added everything. ( I didn't want the battery, electric start. ) The user manual is so easy to understand & with pictures.

The generator started on propane on the first pull, ran smoothly, and handled my test load easily. I plan to connect it to some of the circuits on my breaker panel and test it again later. When I started assembling the wheels I found that one wheel had the wrong axle diameter. Fortunately, I was able to contact Westinghouse online and submit the info on the problem with a photo and they very quickly sent me a new wheel which solved the problem.

Bought this unit last week and took it out camping and what a joy it was to not have to limit the use of power hungry accessories...and children! We were all able to keep our PAD's running along with all appliances, which we couldn't do with our last unit.

Out of the box it wouldn’t recoil back. Had to manually rewind it. Got one start out of it before this failed. By design you can’t get the starter off to do any more significant repairs without taking apart the entire frame. Just got hit by a hurricane so can’t go and replace it.

Purchased this after we had a storm where we lost electricity for several days and almost lost all our freezer contents. We’ve ran it for non emergency and we’re impressed. Now, we are prepared and feel more secure in knowing that. Very nice features

I bought my unit back in November but have not had a chance to use it yet. I guess that's not a bad thing though. I did fill with oil and run for an hour and WIFE was surprised how quite it was. I wasn't far from the patio doors probably less than 15 feet and didn't have to change the volume on TV show we were watching. I would definitely recommend this product.

I purchased the WGen5300DFcv portable generator in preparation for storms along the Florida gulf coast. Setting up the wheels and handle was very easy although the generator is quite heavy. Box included everything needed to get up and running including motor oil and fill funnel. Tested the new generator using propane and it started right up and worked as expected. Documentation packet includes everything you could possibly want to know about the product which seems rare these days.

Just purchased this product for the upcoming hurricane season. I have not had one before, as I just moved to Florida and was not sure how to set this up or how to use. Instructions for setup were easy to follow. Had the wheels and leg bumpers installed in about 10 minutes. The unit moves around easily. Setup for oil and fuel (both gas and propane, which is why I bought this one) are easy as well. Not complicated to use.

Bought this yesterday as a backup for the freeze expected in South Louisiana. Purchased this model due to the great reviews. It was a good price and offered gas/propane sources. It will also be used to power the Living Quarters in my daughter’s horse trailer. Easy to get set up and get running. I hope I don’t have to use it for the freeze but have peace of mind just in case I do have to use it.
