I bought this several months ago to run both the pool pump if we should lose power during the winter and inside the house, the gas furnace blower and the refrigerator. I love the fact that this genset runs on either gasoline or LP! Also that it produces 240 volts (for the pump) and can be stepped down at the same time to run 120 VAC items. We have not had a weather condition requiring its use yet but have done a couple of practice runs. Great value for what it costs!

We bought this to keep in the event that we have a hurricane and have a power outage. I like the fact that I could use propane or gas whatever fuel is readily available. It has more than enough wattage to run my refrigerator freezer and my portable floor AC unit, and more.

I ordered this generator from Sam’s Club in preparation for winter in Texas. 2021’s winter storm hit us pretty bad with no electricity or water for nearly a week. Not in 2022! This unit was a great price, includes a wheel kit, and was delivered quickly. I was a bit disappointed the main frame came out of the box with chipped black paint and rust, but this cosmetic issue can be easily fixed with flat black spray paint. I had a transfer switch installed on my main home breaker with a lockout for safety. I plan to run a 20ft power cord to this switch with the generator on in case of a power outage. Of course theis generator isn’t rated to run everything in my home, but basic heating, lights, and refrigerator is all we need to ensure my family’s piece of mind.

I was surprised when it arrived and it was super heavy and very sturdy and well built. Has many features of much more expensive models. I haven’t had to officially use it yet but after adding oil and fuel it started immediately, ran smoothly and not as loud as I expected. Really like the folding handle and wheels to make it easy to move. Also glad it’s duel fuel as I have large propane tank at home. With hurricanes it’ll be nice to have some peace of mind we have this.

After about a month of research, I decided to buy this product! During my research, I kept coming back to this generator as it had all of the features that I wanted and needed, it is made by a great company, and has a great warranty! The WGen5300DFv is a great buy from a company that stands behind their products!

We lost most of our home in a house fire but the generator allowed us to save the food we had in freezers for many days until our electricity could be restored. The generator is a real trooper. it was easy to put together and easy to start. We love how easy it is to move around.

Easy setup and runs great. But, my need was to be able to use the 120/240v (L14-30R) and the 120v (5-20R) plugins at the same time. The 120v plugins will not work if the Voltage Selector Switch is on 240v and vice versa. If I had known this, I would have bought a different one.

I bought this last month and had never had any experience with generators. Was amazingly easy to assemble ; directions were clear and easy to understand. Everything I needed to start things up were there (including oil!). Tested everything without a hitch; just waiting for the power to go out. Would highly recommend .

Extremely nice unit. Very clean very well put together, and the instruction manual is extraordinary. There's not much that can go wrong that it doesn't show you how to fix. I can't think of anything I would add except maybe a carbon monoxide detector.
