It opens right after is done to avoid moisture from wetting the clothes again.easy to clean filter.the automatic detergent and softener dispenser is great, it saves tons and you don't have to eyeball and pour on every wash. It has tons of cycles to choose from, but yes,most are lengthy. I don't mind much, I do it at night, save energy and the clothes are good in the morning, you can use the no wrinkle option and you are set. It was a locking option, for people with toddlers like myself. Im one of those who forget to move the clothes to the dryer after its done,and end up with smelly clothes, not with this machine .i really like it and recommend it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m sure I’ll learn to like it more than my precious w/d, but right now I miss being able to toss some clothes in the dryer with a wet washcloth and just turn the dial to how long I want to dry and select the heat level (to get wrinkles out). Everything on this one requires multiple menu selections and each cycle is way too long. I want to fluff my comforter when I change the bedding - but the air fluff options don’t include heat. I miss being able to toss clothes in the w/d and turn a dial or hit a button and you’re off a running. Otherwise it’s great - just difficult to set up and learn the most efficient way to do what you want.

Wish drying cycle was more effective. Leaves more moisture which makes do another drying cycle. Jeans and pants are very wrinkled which I do not like. Vibration is minimal during spinning.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was happy about having 1 machine to do washing and drying: No load swapping and only 1 footprint. I didn't have a 240v outlet so going ventless and 110v electric was my only option (no gas option). The ventless was a concern because where does the lint go?? I am meticulous about keeping the lint trap clean and keeping the lint area by the fins clean (upper right compartment). This also includes removing the lint filter and leaving the door open so the humidity by the coils and the ventless lint area can dissipate. Important step that nobody mentions. I've had my machine almost a year. I wanted to purchase another lint filter to have a spare because the lint screen is very fine and requires regular washing. I have two grown boys using this machine and given they break things, having a second filter is a smart choice. THERE IS NO FILTER AVAILABLE TO PURCHASE BECAUSE THIS DESIGN IS DISCONTINUED. I have tried everything, including a service call, contacting SAMSUNG and their authorized parts distributors, and there is NO FILTER replacement available. This is the first time I have been disappointed by SAMSUNG in the 20+ years I have been a loyal customer, but this is a very expensive disappointment when this filter rips/fails. Let me finish on a positive note: The machine is quiet and there are no vibration issues (main floor over basement install). The dryer doesn't burn clothes like a gas dryer does and does take a little longer because it is a 110v electric heat source, but a simple full load start to finish takes about 2 hours. The spin cycle does a great job of getting the water spun out of the loads. I have never used my home machines for heavy blankets or quilts (laundry mat machines are built for those weights). Would I buy this again? Probably, but I know to check the availability of special parts like fine filters. I would have been happy with a vented all-in-one.

I love putting in a load of laundry in the evening and programming the washer to have the load ready when I wake up. We use cheaper electricity and I have a reason to wake up on time! You MUST clean the vent before every wash, which I already was in the habit of doing. It is worth it because you no longer have to worry about a lint fire since the unit doesn’t have to be vented. I love putting in one load and not having to run down to change loads and put clothes in the dryer. I love the App because I can monitor when loads will be ready and plan my time accordingly. My only complaint is that I have to hold a bucket at an angle to drain the tiny hose when I clean the drain trap. The door/cover opens at an angle that doesn’t let you point the hose easily. We had to buy the base because I had to previously sit on the floor to drain the hose and my bucket always overflowed because it was angled too steeply. Overall, I highly recommend this unit to anyone who likes technology, energy efficiency, and less frequent trips to the laundry room.

I like the fact you fill up the laundry soap and softener dispensers and it automatically adjusts what you need. When it’s done, Ready to fold no wrinkles. Surprisingly it uses less electricity than my previous individual Samsung washer and dryer. Very efficient. Runs very quiet. You can adjust the dry settings to your needs from damp to well dryerl. Minimal vibration. Very stabilized.gave me more room in my laundry area, which I needed.
