[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was thrilled to get an invitation to try I Can't Believe It's Not Butter (ICBIN) for free. I had never even seen the square package with the blocks that look just like butter or margarine. In fact, one of the main reasons I had never tried it was because I had only seen it in the spreadable container and I prefer to cook with sticks. I got the package during the holidays so I got a chance to try it in everything I cooked, including stuffing, candied yams, mac n cheese and even a pound cake. I really love that this product is healthier for me than butter or margarine and it served as an excellent alternative. Though the butter flavor doesn't knock me over the head, it was close enough for me to say that I'll be purchasing this product. One recipe that I really loved it in was baked tilapia. It's super simple and I just substituted the butter for the ICBIN. If you're interested, you just marinate six servings of tilapia in 1/3 cup ICBIN, soy sauce (I prefer Braggs Liquid Aminos) and 1/3 c lemon (I use a bit less). for 30 mins. Add some chopped green onions and bake at 450 degrees for about 20 mins. Easy and delicious! Sorry I forgot to snap a pic.

This was the first time I have tried I Can't Believe It's Not Butter but I will continue to purchase it. My whole family likes it better than the tubs of margarine that I normally buy. It has a great butter flavor that is great for potatoes, toast, and cooking in general.

We have been using your tub of butter for a long time and loved the flavor. Since you have changed your recipe we will have to find a new product. There is "NO" flavor on toast, tastes like spreading oil on the bread. It wont even stay on the knife, slips off before I can spread it:( Please go back to the original.

Honestly not a big fan. I don't think the flavor tastes anything like butter. It's really oily tasting to me. There are so many other spreads I would reach for before this one. I'm not sure how healthy it is for you but I can tell you it doesn't taste at all healthy to me with that greasy oily taste. I would definitely not recommend this product.

we personally do no like the new original spread. we find it to have more of a salty and offensive taste and it also does not melt on our toast like it use to. it just sits on top. bring back the old formula as we are looking to replace this product which we used in our everyday cookong

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's been about a year since I've used ICBINB, but I gave it a try again, and I found it worked well for my needs. It had plenty of butter-like flavor, so it worked well on toast. I also used it to fry eggs and grilled cheese sandwiches, and it kept the flavor at a high heat. I'll definitely use it again. The rectangular package shape also fit in my fridge better.

What has happened to ICBINB lately? It tastes like rotten vegetables. I have been a long long time buyer and it has never tasted like this before. Bought a large tub with a best buy by date of Dec 2024 and had to bring it back to the store because of the rotten taste. Thought it was rancid. Exchanged for a small tub with a Nov 2024 sell date and it tastes just as bad. Bringing that tub back as well. I'll just have to find another brand. Very very disappointing.

I would recommend everyone try this Spread it is so much healthier then the other brands

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been a user of ICBINB for the last few years. I am excited the new recipe has better ingredients and took out the junky GMOs. I received a free sample of the new recipe of ICBINB through Smiley360. This morning I made 2 slices of toast. On one slice I put the "old recipe" of ICBINB light, and the new recipe ICBINB on the other. Originally I was paying very close attention to which slice was which, and how each tasted. After my first bite, I thought "This new recipe doesn't taste as good as the old one". Then after my second bite I thought "Well, maybe it tastes the same". By the third bite I could no longer tell the difference, and I was just enjoying my toast. I compared the nutrition labels and I feel better about eating the new recipe. No GMOs, but so many words on the old label I couldn't pronounce! It still is a butter substitute that tastes like butter. It's healthier for me and my family and I feel better about eating it/serving it. All in all I'm going to keep buying this product. They've made it better, and if you don't like the taste you might want to ask yourself what kind of junk your body has become accustomed to eating, and why you don't like the taste. It's SO SIMILAR to the original!!
