Let's be honest, nobody wants to talk about butt health, BUT we're humans, we have butts...it's only weird because we expel excrement from them. Here's the long and short of it: we got intrigued by the idea of a bidet...saw one on a TV show...wife tried one in Japan...we kind of laughed about it once or twice, and then Covid-19 happened and we were running low on toilet paper. I asked her if we should just get a bidet and save the environment (somewhat jokingly). She said, "sure why not" half-heartedly. I looked it up, found this bad boy (with a promo code!) and thought, "that's pretty affordable." (yes I'm blessed). It showed up in a few days, I installed it in 10minutes, let it warm up, played with a few of the functions and the rest is history. We did end up getting more toilet paper, but neither of us has touched it since we installed our Swash. You just finish your duty, run a rinse, then run a full dry cycle (anything less will leave your bum a little wet). You pull up your drawers and you can hardly believe you're done without ever having to even touch your butt. Here's the kinda gross/awkward part: I'm 30 years old and already had some kind of hemorrhoids or something, likely form wiping too hard or too often or something...I'd get a small amount of bleeding that was just awkward and unsettling when I wiped, but I never really wanted to talk to my doctor or make a big deal of it because it didn't seem to hurt or be hurting anything. Those days are over now—I never touch my bum and it just gets a gentle, pristine clean every time I drop a deuce.

Compared to the Novita bg90 that I had before, this se400 has a cleaner self clean while sitting and hot water for a longer period of time not to mention the lid is pretty much the same - Novita was $150 more and Brondell customer service is better and more transparent about coupons and discounts.

So this is a great product - everything works as advertised and I am extremely happy with it. Here's a funny story regarding the installation that should have been very simple: Ever see the famous episode from I Love Lucy where she and Ethel are in the bakery and can't keep up with the assembly line? That's how it was with my installation. My water valve wouldn't close all the way so as I was making the connections, I had to do it with water coming out of the hose which I would catch using a big pan that I would have to continually empty out during the process of making the simple connections. It was hilarious and I eventually completed the job, not without a lot of anxiety and many very wet towels I had to lay on the floor to soak up all the water that I spilled emptying the pan! This of course had nothing to do with the product, but was the result of my bad water valve. I would highly recommend this product.

When we designed our new home we included the outlets for the bidet seats. The day our furniture arrived so did our bidet seats. It was also the day I tripped and broke my arm. Needless to say it has made the unpacking much more difficult. Let's just say that the bidet seat has been a great addition and help for me during this time of being handicapped. Much beyond what we envisioned when they were ordered.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Easy to operate. It took me about three days to memorize all the buttons because I can't see them when I'm sitting on the toilet seat. About 50% of the time, I still need to clean myself up the sink. That is after using 2 minutes front and back settings with two minutes in between it got the water warmed up again.

Not a fan of the light that can’t be dimmed. But my least favorite part is the dryer that drys only my left but cheek. Doesn’t dry the center...super frustrating

Have not installed the seat yet, but will next week. The reason for the five stars is I had one of the same seats in my old home that I just sold and we love it we had two other brands with the Brondell was the best.

I purchased this for my mom who is undergoing chemotherapy. Utilizing the bidet has help her manage the severe elimination needs due to her treatment. Her skin integrity has improved in just a few days! Absolutely wonderful product!!

We love bidets. This one took me 15 minutes to install. The pieces fit together well. It looks good. There were two extra parts that look like artifacts from a former design model. The spray is nice and strong.
