When we designed our new home we included the outlets for the bidet seats. The day our furniture arrived so did our bidet seats. It was also the day I tripped and broke my arm. Needless to say it has made the unpacking much more difficult. Let's just say that the bidet seat has been a great addition and help for me during this time of being handicapped. Much beyond what we envisioned when they were ordered.

Well worth the cost above Tushy and similar bidets considering the many functions and ability to tune them.  Heated seat, warm water storage, fan, retracting sprayer... Just need to make sure you have a socket nearby to plug it into for installation. Nice not to have to run a water line off the sink at all.  Even has a UV light! Only small wish might be that the UV light came on automatically when the seat detects weight. (As it does that anyway)

A fantastic product

Compared to the Novita bg90 that I had before, this se400 has a cleaner self clean while sitting and hot water for a longer period of time not to mention the lid is pretty much the same - Novita was $150 more and Brondell customer service is better and more transparent about coupons and discounts.

Better than Novita

Overall, I am very happy with this purchase. I did not expect to care much about the heated seat, but it wound up being one of my favorite features. 

Here are my minor complaints, with the understanding that I am still very happy with this purchase: water will splash up on the underside of the toilet seat and around the inside edge of the seat, so I have to wipe the seat and under the seat most times I use the bidet. The heated dryer is aimed more straight ahead than up, so it blows more on the opposite side of the bowl instead of on my bum. I usually skip the heated dry. The blue nightlight is VERY bright, and would blind me in the middle of the night, so I don't use that either. I really like the eco feature, but it will wait for the water to get cold, then heat it up again, then wait for full cold, so you never know if the water is going to be toasty hot or quite chilly on eco.

Very happy

So this is a great product - everything works as advertised and I am extremely happy with it. Here's a funny story regarding the installation that should have been very simple: Ever see the famous episode from I Love Lucy where she and Ethel are in the bakery and can't keep up with the assembly line? That's how it was with my installation. My water valve wouldn't close all the way so as I was making the connections, I had to do it with water coming out of the hose which I would catch using a big pan that I would have to continually empty out during the process of making the simple connections. It was hilarious and I eventually completed the job, not without a lot of anxiety and many very wet towels I had to lay on the floor to soak up all the water that I spilled emptying the pan! This of course had nothing to do with the product, but was the result of my bad water valve. I would highly recommend this product.

Wonderful Product

Let's be honest, nobody wants to talk about butt health, BUT we're humans, we have butts...it's only weird because we expel excrement from them. 

Here's the long and short of it: we got intrigued by the idea of a bidet...saw one on a TV show...wife tried one in Japan...we kind of laughed about it once or twice, and then Covid-19 happened and we were running low on toilet paper. I asked her if we should just get a bidet and save the environment (somewhat jokingly). She said, "sure why not" half-heartedly. I looked it up, found this bad boy (with a promo code!) and thought, "that's pretty affordable." (yes I'm blessed).

It showed up in a few days, I installed it in 10minutes, let it warm up, played with a few of the functions and the rest is history. We did end up getting more toilet paper, but neither of us has touched it since we installed our Swash. You just finish your duty, run a rinse, then run a full dry cycle (anything less will leave your bum a little wet). You pull up your drawers and you can hardly believe you're done without ever having to even touch your butt.

Here's the kinda gross/awkward part: I'm 30 years old and already had some kind of hemorrhoids or something, likely form wiping too hard or too often or something...I'd get a small amount of bleeding that was just awkward and unsettling when I wiped, but I never really wanted to talk to my doctor or make a big deal of it because it didn't seem to hurt or be hurting anything. Those days are over now—I never touch my bum and it just gets a gentle, pristine clean every time I drop a deuce.

It's exactly what you're hoping for.

I have nothing to compare the Brondell to, this is my first bidet seat. It works well, except the dryer feature doesn’t really dry...I don’t use that feature much. I would have appreciated knowing that before purchasing. Could be they are all like that, I just don’t know.

Nice bidet

I am never going back to toilet paper. The Swash provides a wonderful experience every time. Installation was stress-free, and the blue nightlife is a plus. If you are a big person, I do recommend getting a model with a detached remote instead of this model, as the SE400’s remote is attached to the side and can be covered up by large thighs. It’s not a problem for me, but it is for others in the household.

Never Going Back

Installation was a little rough since we had trouble getting it to slide back into place on our toilet. Added an outlet next to the toilet. After that it was smooth sailing. The buttons are self explanatory and everything seems to work as it should. I can't imaging using the bidet on anything other than full power, and the left and right buttons don't seem to move the water stream very far in either direction. The heated seat feature seems to be too much for the summer, but should be really nice this winter. Also the "front" button does not really direct the water stream very far forward, as you might expect; but it does cause the water to be "shot" in two different directions, i.e., straight up, and toward the back. It doesn't take long to get used to how the item works, and I do use this product about once a day on average. The bidet seems to be well constructed, and I would purchase it again, and recommend it to a friend.

Nice Features and Easy to Use

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Easy to operate. It took me about three days to memorize all the buttons because I can't see them when I'm sitting on the toilet seat. About 50% of the time, I still need to clean myself up the sink. That is after using 2 minutes front and back settings with two minutes in between it got the water warmed up again.

Works OK for me.
