It is absolutely ridiculous that I the customer cannot exhaust and I decide when to change my toner cartridge. Big Brother stops from printing until you buy another cartridge...you the customer cannot get around the "need" for new toner regardless if you could live with a lighter print job. Might be time to buy a different company's machine...

We were surprised that the toner didn't last long. We didn't print over 500 pages. My dad bought the printer a few months ago, I don't know if he bought the cartridge separately or it came with the printer, but we thought maybe it's because it's the first cartridge. The quality was still excellent when the toner message came on, and we couldn't print anymore. So if we didn't have a backup toner cartridge, we would have been stuck until we got one. There should be an option to print inferiorly, especially in case of "emergencies". I hope this short toner cartridge life isn't the norm, but seeing all these reviews saying the same thing, it looks like it is. I think brother should look at making products that are more flexible to use and to fix. Let's not contribute to a throw-away world. We had to get rid of our last brother printer because there was no way to fix it. It still worked and printed, it was just splotchy. To buy a new part would have cost more than the printer.

we Purchased MFC-L2710DW in May I did not use it a lot and max 100 pages to print and ink is low now and I cant print anything until I replace the cartridge Lets hope TN 760 will last for 3000 pages Also , should not I get friendly message /reminder that ink is low like it is on HP printers This one just abruptly stopped printing in the meddle of printing job due to low ink

If you are sick and tired of changing cartridges every couple of months, then get the Brother printer compatible with this ink, and you will have carefree uninterrupted copies for approximately 3000 sheets. It's just amazing. The only drawback: this is black and white only, no color, but for my purposes, perfect.

These replacement ink cartridges are fine. I'd say they're moderately easy to install, once you realize which door on your machine to open. I like them because I'm an average user of my home copying machine. I neither run a business from home, nor am I a luddite. Like may people, I simply need "one-off" photocopies from time to time. In addition, there are between two and four times a year when I need many copies all at once. As an amateur musician, I'd say three to four times in a year, I need to photocopy and print significant amounts of sheet music (yes, I pay the copyright holder). And let's not forget the copies needed at tax time. The thing about these cartridges is that they contain a great deal of ink. Despite my "heavy use three or four times a year, I generally have to replace the cartridge only once a year at most. They never last for two years, so I'd say the average is about a replacement cartridge every 15-18 months. They are always at the ready, even after a long period of no photocopying at all, the very first page printed is a good as any of the pages throughout the run. That's a type of technical feat that had to be difficult for the engineers and scientists at Brother to figure out, and for which I'm very grateful, as the casual user of printing services in-home.

Something must be wrong somewhere! I had a Brother 3-in-1 Printer-scanner-copier machine and faced similar issues with tonner not printing. Now 2nd printer same issue. What is up with this? I have tracked my printing and have issues. Seems like we are paying for less tonner in unit or the gauge is off on printers?

It usually takes me 10 months to a year before I replace the cartridge for my brother printer. Recently for the passed two times I replaced the cartridge which gave an average use of three months,I notice inadequacy. During each replacement the notice Low in towner pops up. It became a concern when my credit card was charge for a new cartridge and product shipped to my home. My printer is for home use and this observation of cartridge deficiency altered my perception of this product functionality. I’d wish to receive in future the proper benefit from the cartridge ascribe

I checked the print counter when I inserted a new TN-760 "high yield" toner cartridge in my new MFC-2750DW (drum counter page start = 635 on 6 Nov 2019; the first 635 drum pages apply to the toner cartridge that came with the new printer). When the "replace toner" warning popped up I checked the drum page counter (counter page stop = 2704). A little math .... 2704 drum counter pages - 635 copies from previous toner cartridge = 2069 copies on a high yield toner cartridge that advertises 3000 copies!!! Very disappointed.

I have a couple Brother printers here in the office that use this TN-760 cartridge and they consistently exceed the estimated page count. I've had the same experience with previous models including the one I've had at home for the last 6 years. YMMV, if you are printing something other than text documents with bar codes and engineering drawings. I can project a budget and meet it every time plus I can send the empty cartridge back to be recycled.

I printed.. maybe 300 black and white power point pages in the last 2 weeks. Just installed my brand new printer. Already need to replace my toner. Pretty incredible. This feels intentional - like deliberate obsolenence to cost your customers money, if not, this is borderline defective. I have a home office stipend I used to buy this printer, I have to talk to my company about getting a new printer from one of your competitors.
