Purchased two months ago and the net weight of package was 42.3 oz (2.64 lbs) or $4.83 per pound. I bough last week and the weight had dropped to 28.2 oz (1.76 lbs) making the sale price $6.11 a pound. The usual price of $12.76 will render us $7.25 a pound. Quite an increase. Pkg claims "Now Dissolves Faster." Less product usually does! Last month I would have given a five star rating. From now on I'll be mixing my own (about $4 a pound). Great product; unacceptable price increase. Seriously (Walmart/)Sams Club? At least be fair and post this review.

We’ve been using truvia for years. Agree with the most recent posts. They reduced the contents of a packet by a third but you can guess it, they didn’t reduce the price by a third. Didn’t even reduce the 400 packet box size, same box. Cargill you only burnt me once (maybe twice) but no more.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review. This sugar substitute is nice for anyone trying to cut down on sugar. It looks like and has the same consistency as regular sugar. I used it to make hot tea and followed that one packet is the same as two teaspoons of sugar and felt like it wasn’t quite sweet enough for me so I added a little more. Overall I did not really like the taste of it, it wasn’t bad just not for me. It was also nice that it was packets so it could be used on the go.

I liked this sweetener and, as a registered dietitian, considered this the best sugar alcohol until reading this recent study (August '24) of products that contain erythritol. "Erythritol is a common artificial sweetener. Low amounts occur naturally in fruits and vegetables. It is also made inside our cells as part of normal metabolism. But when used as a sweetener, erythritol levels are typically more than '1,000-fold greater than levels found naturally in foods.' A new study recently published in the journal Arteriosclerosis, Thrombosis and Vascular Biology, Trusted Source, reports that erythritol use may increase a person’s risk of blood clots, which when formed inside a blood vessel can restrict the movement of blood and oxygen around the body."
