Ultra quiet spotless clean dishwasher
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love how quiet my new dishwasher is! We usually run it after dinner and people are always commenting on how quiet it is while we watch TV in our great room. The linear wash system does a great job of cleaning the dishes and the best part Is, no spots. I like that I can get notifications on my phone from the Samsung SmartThings app like what part of the cycle it is in and when it completes the wash. The 3rd rack is fantastic for large utensils. Overall, I am overjoyed with my new Samsung dishwasher.
So glad that you have teamed up with SmartThings to find the perfect fit for your family. Thank you for selecting Samsung. ^ Cat
Great Machine
I received the unit a few months ago and have been actively using it once to twice per week. The unit is very quiet during operation which is a plus. The wash results are great, though since its not like other machines I did spend time to read the manual on loading the unit etc. Everything from glassware to silverware comes out perfectly washed and even some heavily soiled pans. I tend to use the Auto function more often then not. Overall great unit
Excellent News! Your new dishwashers sleek design and its quite powerful performance is a wonderful addition to any kitchen, and glad you found that in our dishwasher. Welcome to the Samsung family! ^Cat
Good features, not as solid as a Bosch
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love all the features of this unit, and it works really well. I had shifted from a Bosch and found this unit to be a bit more "flimsy" but it doesn't affect the cleaning. I do wonder if it will last as long though...
Time saver
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I welcomed my new dishwasher into my home with open arms. The stainless steel looked sleek. It instantly gave my kitchen an upgraded look. It had a unique third row to it and it connected to my "smart things" which allows me to control it on my phone. Although it seemed impressive already, I decided to put it to the ultimate test. I took dishes that had 2 day old food stuck on them, and without soaking or pre washing I placed them in the machine, started it and went on about my day. When I came to see the results. They were magical. Everything was so incredibly clean! I didn't realized how much time I spent soaking and rinsing the dishes clean before I placed them in the dishwasher. Now that I have this dishwasher, I can spend more time doing things I actually enjoy!
Samsung is excited to know that we have exceeded your expectations with our dishwasher's powerful performance, sleek design, and innovative features that make life easier. Enjoy your free time! Welcome to the Samsung family experience. ^Cat
Incredibly Silent Dishwasher
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This dishwasher replaced a 15 year old Bosch, which was very good in its time, but was getting very loud and stopped drying dishes. Delivery was quick. I installed the dishwasher in no time at all with the included hardware. Ran several test washes and the first real was with dishes and this thing is so quiet. I had to put my ear right next to it to hear anything. So far the dishes are coming out very clean and dry. No complaints after about 3 weeks of use. Easy to connect to the Samsung app and control it there. Kinda handy. The only thing I will note, this model pops the door open at the end of the cycle to finish drying and provides a screen protector like film to put under the countertop to stop moisture from damaging the wood. This film would not stick to our underside countertop. We ended up applying several layers of polyurethane and letting it dry before installing. So far no water has appeared to soak into the countertop. Will update this review if anything changes.
Buyer Beware!
Purchased 9/22/2022 and almost exactly after the 1-year warranty ended we’ve had nothing but problems. LC error constantly and now it’s not draining. Plumber says it’s not plumbing. Never should have bought this and completely regret not going with a tried and true kitchen appliance brand. I do not recommend this product. Spend your money on a dishwasher you know will work for more than a year.

Love this dishwasher !
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this dishwasher early 2022 and it didn't disappoint ! I always use the delay start to run it at night to save on electricity but it so quiet, I literally have to touch it to see if it's running ! Also, no need to rinse your plates before placing them in this dishwasher, it does a great job cleaning and drying. Love the sanitizer option too. This is loaded with features and If you want a dishwasher that will handle tough jobs, I recommend this one.
Unreliable, bad at cleaning, and bad at drying
The dw80r9950ug has not worked well. We purchased it in November 2021. We decided on this model, due to the 3rd rack, very quiet operations, and ratings for drying. At the price point (upper tier), we expected a great machine. When we first got it, it cleaned OK. Not great. We definitely had to keep scraping and rinsing. Not what I wanted for $1100. A top criterion for us was drying. It has never dried well. Working with Samsung support, they stressed Jet Dry, which we use, and they said that plastic dishes tend not to dry well. They are correct. What annoys me is that when we go to VRBOs, the low end dishwashers in those places far outperform our dw80r9950ug in cleaning and drying. I will give it this. This thing is very quiet. I can stand next to it while it runs and not realize it's on. The (lack of) noise is exactly as advertised and very impressive. Less than a year after we got it, we had to have the linear wash (waterwall) device replaced. This was under warranty. After that, it returned to cleaning just OK. We are now at 3.5 years, and it has stopped cleaning well for the last 2-3 months. We normally have to hand wash many of the dishes after a cycle. We had a reputable and experience repair person here today who showed us that the waterwall arm was again not working. It doesn't move. Then he said that Samsung has discontinued this part, and I have since verified that with other parts sellers. I guess I have to buy a new dishwasher. Based on this and the Samsung refrigerator I purchased 10 years ago, I will strongly recommend against purchasing this dishwasher and Samsung appliances in general.

Great when it works
have had two repairs made and two replacement dishwashers within less than a year. samsung refuses to pay for the replacements to be re-installed even though the issues are clearly due a manufacturer's defect. first set of issues was due to water leaking out the front door (with both the initial dishwasher and its replacement). then on christmas day it randomly died mid cycle, less than two months after the second replacement dishwasher was professionally installed. but when it actually works, it is whisper quiet and does a great job at cleaning and drying the dishes. if only it didn't need to be worked on every 2-4 months it would be an amazing appliance...

Excellent Wasing, poor drying
with limited options as far as color (didn't want stainless or black) we were happy to find this tuscan model with such a robust feature set. the dishwasher is super quiet and the wash performance is quite good with a full complement of extras.. the drying performance doesn't match the wash though. i always have to wipe down the top of my mugs before i can put the dishes away. it's been years (two dishwashers back) since i had this problem and i thought maybe it needed an adjustment or something. nope, the rep says that's they way things are. someone mentioned that the absence of a heated dry option may be the reason the mug tops don't dry. whatever the reason, i don't like it. right now, i'm trying to decide whether it's worth the hassle to return this and resume my search.
