i bought samsung dishwasher (model dw80r9950ug/aa) on november of 2022 (christmas present from me to me). i’ve made sure to enable the auto release dry function by selecting “a1” option on the dishwasher but yet auto release dry function has only worked twice since i bought the dishwasher. i am very disappointed, not understanding why the auto release dry function is not working.

The connectivity feature let you know the status of your appliance even if you are not home. I especially like the countdown feature that magically appears on the face of the dishwasher, when it is operating.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This one’s a quiet baby! Whisper quiet cleaning: This one is real. The first load that I put this dishwasher to action, was a revelation. The wash cycle was real quiet, to the extent I had to put an ear to the door to confirm that it was ON. Fell in love with it with that. We chose this model based on 4-5 key features. These ones really help us manage specific needs: o Flexible 3nd rack – this one really helps when the load consists of more than fair share of big or oversized pots and pans o Zone booster: Helps when you have over greasy or dirty pans o Linear wash system provides very good cleaning efficiency and the results are to be experienced. Coupled with the zone and speed booster, it offers great washing efficiencies o Sanitizer - an important feature for germaphobes and for ones who have small children at home o Half load option (lower rack only) and Express Cycle – this solved our challenge of having too little dishes for a full cycle of many a night. This coupled with the express cycle are very good features for small families. In addition to these it offers 7 different wash cycles and 8 options for your varied needs. A bunch of small nifty ones features which others may also like the adjustable tines for the odd shaped ones, auto release door for better drying efficiencies especially for plastic ware. The finger print resistant feature may look fancy, but besides refrigerator, the dishwasher is the perfect appliance to have it. To sum it up, if you are looking for a good top panel touch variant in a dishwasher, this one makes your decision easier, quietly!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'll first start off by saying that our original dishwasher (DW) was delivered with a cosmetic indentation in the door. It didn't affect the performance but I only mention it because Samsung customer service agreed to replace the unit as the driver reported it to them. Kudos to them! Now let me begin with how super quiet and feature loaded this dishwasher is! We are replacing a DW that was a top of the line brand known for low decibel, quiet dishwashers. Let me tell you that this Samsung 9950 DW is even more quiet, in fact, with the exception of when it goes through its drain cycles you may hear the draining sound via the sink, and the time remaining display (which I will address later), you can't tell this DW is running! The control panel: is concealed under the counter overhang and it offers various cycles to choose from: Auto, Normal, Heavy, Delicate, Express, and Rinse only. I've only used the auto, normal and heavy cycles, in this short usage time and would expect I would find use for the express during a party or family gathering. The cycle time adjusts accordingly based on the amount of wash time needed. Some of the unique features that differentiate the Samsung DW are the lower rack and cycle enhancement options. You can select "lower rack" and wash only a small load in the lower rack, or you can select "zone booster" to wash heavily soiled items like pots or pans. The Racks: The 3rd rack is a goof d option as it allows a place for the large utensils and extra silverware. The 2nd rack can be raised or lowered which is helpful if larger items/pans are going on the bottom rack. Lastly, the smart control allows you to monitor and control the DW remotely from your mobile phone or tablet, seeing what stage the cycle is in the wash process. I have all of my Samsung appliances, devices, and TVs connected via the SmartThings app and if you are like me being a tech person, this enables you to view and control them in one central place. Oh, I forgot, the time remaining display, as most people will refer to it as, displays information about the current cycle, most notably the cycle time, remaining time, and any delay start settings (which I haven't used yet). I have included a picture of the outside of my DW where you can see in the upper right corner the time remaining in the cycle. Overall, we like this Samsung DW80R9950US dishwasher and are glad that we upgraded. We have the stainless steel version, which does show some finger prints but wipes clean.

The dirtiest of pans come out very clean, it has an “Auto” setting to detect the necessary cycle to use which is great. You can control the dishwasher and receive notifications once a cycle is complete using the SmartThings app, which is very convenient. I like how it shows the time left on a cycle visibly on the unit, no more guessing when the dishwasher is done. The clips to lower the top third rack look flimsy and I hope they will last. By default once a cycle is complete the door automatically opens to assist with drying, just a quick note, the door will not close for two minutes after it opens, but you can turn this feature off if you prefer. Overall, this dishwasher is sleek, plenty of settings to pick from, quiet enough to run while watching a movie. and leaves things sparkling clean.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I found out we were getting a new dishwasher my first reaction was “what’s wrong with the old one?“ I am the kind of person who keeps something until it’s no longer fixable. After all, I dishwasher is the dishwasher? Right? I was wrong. This thing looks like was carved out of a single block of stainless steel. It’s a work of art. Speaking of work, does it ever! All we do is knock off the loose food, put it in and let it go. The auto setting is smart enough that it figures out what it needs to do. I love the fact that it’s got a special high-pressure section for pots and pans. My hands don’t work the way they used to and getting into the nooks and crannies of some of my pots can be difficult. This thing is like a pressure washer for dishes. That being said, it is still gentle for the glasses on the upper rack. As everybody has said, this thing is quiet, so quiet that if you don’t look at it you don’t know it’s running. You need to have the chime so you know that it’s on or off. I like the fact that I can be somewhere else in the house and check on my Alexa how much time is left. It does take a while to clean, but because it’s so thorough it’s worth it. This is a significant step forward as the dishwasher goes. It cleans the dishes so well you think they are brand new. Because it does not use heat to dry the dishes, I don’t worry about having melted plastic. It has a lot of capacity and it’s very efficient in its use of space. You can put a lot of stuff in there!

Can't get any assistance in figuring out why I cannot start my dishwasher remotely. I'm told it should go into standby mode which would allow the wifi to stay connected but whenever the power automatically goes off, I lose connection. Not sure what the point of wifi/smart control is if I have to physically turn the dishwasher on each time.

I highly recommend this product for consumers with a busy household. It is easy to operate and also advises you when it requires a self cleaning. The exterior stainless is very easy to keep clean. The dishwasher is amazingly quiet when operating. I am able to conduct business without a concern for any noise at all. A must have!

The delivery guys said that this dishwasher was top of the line and boy they were not kidding. It has superior Cleaning power. The bottom left rack is what they call “Zone Booster” which I believe means more water power is focused on that specific area. Also if you need to there is a Hi-Temp wash feature. Personally I run it on Normal with sanitize selected. The run time is 3:02 but when it gets to 2:52 it jumps to 2:31, not 100% sure of what to make about that. The first time I turned the machine on I checked a few times to make sure it was running. I have never heard a dishwasher (or actually not hear!!!) run this quiet. I watched the display numbers decreasing so I knew it was running. The design is timeless. It will look perfect in your kitchen for years to come. There are no extravagant gadgets that you need to worry about the fad going out of style. All the control buttons except the power button are sensitive to the touch. You only need to press ever so slightly. I opted to keep the sound on so the machine plays a little jingle when it starts and plays another jungle upon completion. This dishwasher has THREE racks!!! Yes 3. The top rack is perfect for the odd shaped items like a spatula or jar lids. The middle rack has three different glass positioning options. I am utilizing the glass and small coffee cup on the left and the glass and large coffee cup on the right. Under the middle rack spins a bar that shoots out water to clean. This rack is also height adjustable if you need to put a large pot on the bottom. The middle rack also has a slight locking feature to prevent the rack from rolling out. The thing I like the best about the bottom rack is how you can fold down some of the plate holders to make the space larger. Lastly on the bottom rack are two large cutlery bins that hold a total of 80 pieces. My dishes and glasses come out of the wash sparkling like new. Would I recommend this product? Absolutely! Would I purchase another Samsung appliance in the future? Absolutely.
