The linear wash is those fixed jets as shown at the bottom of the washer pointing to the front. Instead of a rotating arm, the reflector arm is a straight bar across the width of the washer bouncing water upwards. The arm moves front and back on a track. It's very quiet but when the powerful jets are running, it doesn't make a lot of difference. It must be stainless steel on the inside. Plastic is noisier and can hold deposits. The inlet connector and drain hose connector are compatible with Whirlpool and other brands. The installation instructions are probably talking about different things. So there's no installation except for connecting the electrical wires. The machine is rather heavy in comparison so there's no absolute need to install the secure brackets. I saw a review that it's difficult for the inlet hose to go right. Actually, you can rotate the connector to point down and right so the hose just goes right without obstruction. Controls at the top are much more sensible than at the front where you have to stand back a few feet to see or kneel down. Touch buttons don't break. My last one has the bubble buttons that are often the first things to go. It's unforgivable on my kitchen range. It's well known that you just open the door while everything is still hot to dry fast. Now it's a new feature. The spring is flat at the bottom. The door will stay at any position you stop at.

Dishwasher has been leaking from right side of door since February after service for a leak error code. The seal has been replaced 3 times. The door has also been replaced. Dishwasher still leaks from the right side of the door but has not given an leak error since February.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very happy after a few months of using this dishwasher. (Replaced a KitchenAid that I loved but finally died after many years.) Love the configurability of the racks and settings so when we're washing pots/pans we can flip down the left-side of lower rack and set to wash extra there, otherwise normal loads of plates are just 1hr including the drying. Additional things we love: third rack/shelf at the top for lids, big spatulas, etc. Really like how it cracks open at the end of the drying cycle (items definitely get drier than my old dishwasher) w/no condensed water as the hot air can escape. We have SmartThings so connecting to that is a nice feature though I don't use too much since I don't really need to control the dishwasher remotely too often. (But good to know if you turn it on and go out, it lets you know it finished successfully.) Honestly wasn't sure about getting a Samsung dishwasher (vs. Bosch or other top brands you see reviews for) but couldn't be happier with it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased this with my new home and it was available in tuscan which matched my fridge, so I was delighted. Overall it works okay and it's so quiet, nice and roomy and I love the utensils rack and the adjustable glass rack. However for some reason it stopped opening at the end of the cycle to let the steam out as this is what dries the dishes. So my cons it doesn't dry accurately, unless I catch when it finishes and manually open the door. Also it would be nice if it had a ronse and dry only feature, which would also help.

It won’t run a full cycle without the sensor going off. Half of the time the soap doesn’t even come out correctly. The dishes remain dirty after running it. It has only been a year and we are already looking to replace it.

The dishwasher started leaking and getting error codes. called Samsung technician and after inspection he claims it was damage during delivery also paid for to samsung for delivery. since it happened after 10days after delivery its not covered. The issue can not be seen so no way we could know it was damage on delivery. I bought top of the line dishwasher, range, microwave, dryer and washer. Its surprising after spending almost $5000 they will not cover a faulty top of the line dishwasher. I earlier bought Samsung phone, fridge and TV. I'm so done with Samsung rest of my life.

I just can not say enough good things about it. Easy to load and it it cleans very well. and I love the fact of how quiet it is and how quick it is. I have never had a dishwasher that was so quiet. I love it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely LOVE the utensil rack and how quiet it is. It opens automatically when it is finished. The only downside to it is my plates are too tall to put in it and the racks don't slide in and out very smoothly.
