We used this on our back porch last weekend for the first time, where we are usually either reeking of bug spray or beyond eaten alive. Nobody put on any bug spray because we wanted to see if this thing really works.... Well... After the first fifteen minutes or so, the mosquitos just went away... And they didn't come back!!! The only bites we had were the ones we got before we turned it on! It will definately be getting another one or two to space around our deck and cabana.!

After having this for a couple months it was getting harder to keep it lit it would light turn orange for a second or two and then go out have to continuously try to light it shook it up good hoping it would build more pressure to stay lit sometimes it works sometimes it does it I bought another one that was more updated it seems to work okay now but I would like to have had my second one a little bit longer than 2 months but it seems to work but keep mosquitoes away

I was given this for free to try for review. I was really looking forward to reviewing this product as I am in texas and we have horrible mosquitos. I think possibly where my backyard faces this is not big enough to handle.. I have constant winds everyday so when it was on I did not notice any difference. I was able to get it lit after a few tries and put it on my patio table. The mosquitos were still flying under the table so not sure if it needs to be on the ground or not. Will try again on the ground in the front to see if that changes anything.

I recently bought one of these in hopes that it would help combat the mosquitoes that seem to live my apartment patio. I decided to try it without the candles and sprays to get a good test and feel for the device. I made sure the kid was off, the gas was on tight, that I seen the orange glow and the mat was fresh and blue. I waited the suggested 15 minutes on a calm day (no wind) before walking outside. It took me about 20 minutes of being a buffet for those little blood sucking vampires before I realized that I wasted $30-$40 on this unit and the refill pads and fuel. lol

We have used both this patio version and the hand held units. They all have work so well. We have purchased multiple as gifts, always well received. Taken outs to many events, and friends are always interested and amazed at how immediately the bugs get gone! Perfect for around the camp fire, fishing, and while enjoying dinner outdoors. Highly recommend you try this piece of tech out!

We rec'd & tested yesterday. Mosquitos were in the shop, & biting, until we lit it. The dogs & we were unmolested afterwards. Convenient features: A free-standing unit; mat storage in the barrel of the unit; weatherproof; same lighting mechanism as the hunting Thermacells. I'm sold!

Used first time last ight - our dinner was virtually mosquito free! The longer we dined the more we noticed no biting or buzzing! I bought two units and we dine on the deck regularly - even before Covid- and we will test them again soon - I'M CONFIDENT THEY'LL DO THEIR JOB!

I got this during the winter and am just now using. It is excellent. I am a mosquito magnet and for the very first time in my life, I am able to enjoy my deck with my morning coffee and evening wine without being swarmed with nasty mosquitos or dousing myself with smelly chemicals. I have tried everything and this is the best solution. Thank you so much. I am ordering refills now.

I bought this with extra pads and butane thinking yes finally mosquito free. We started it up 45 minutes before we got outside by my fire chat and within 10 minutes we both had gotten bit more than once. It is now cold so I don’t think I will have another’s chance to try it so I don’t know if I should keep it or return it. I want it so badly to work and my uncle has one and it works great

I purchased the Thermacell Patio Shield Mosquito Repeller from my local Fleet Farm store.... biggest waste of money ever! I bought it on the 4th of July in hopes to watch the fireworks without the horrible mosquitos! WRONG!! Biggest waste of my $25
