I love this thing, it is a must have. We live in the country with a pond and a cow pasture. The mosquitoes here are not normal mosquitoes they are teenage mutant ninja mosquitoes!! I have spent so much money on every kind of torch fuel, citronella candle, citronella incense, citronella plant, and bug spray just the works and none of them have worked they will bite you through bug spray and through anything you can throw at them. THIS is the only thing that keeps them away and lets us enjoy the outdoors as a family!

I was a little skeptical when I saw this product on the shelf. I read the box, decided to try it. I also bought a refill kit at the same time. My Patio Sheild sat on my patio waiting for its first run. Then Hurricane Florence struck NC. Life was put on hold for a couple of weeks, but not for the mosquitoes. It has become a plague of nearly Biblical proportions in NC. Well tonight I brought my Patio Sheild to my sons baseball practice under the lights. Not one bite and I’ve been here for about an hour. Others are spraying Deet like sunscreen on the beach. I got my Patio Sheild in the cup holder of my folding chair. I’m very impressed. The little bloodsuckers fly by but never land. Great job. Thanks for such a wonderful product. Never stop selling the refills.

I live in new Mexico and we have mosquitos especially in the mountains and by the water. This helps to keep them away from us and our campsite and well as our backyard. Very easy to use. Really like that it works 15ft around the device so we can set it on the table.

I received my patio shield royal blue mosquito repeller. I love in Georgia and we get mosquito bad here and I am so glad I received this product for my outdoor patio. The mosquito repeller works great and keeps mosquito away for about 12 hours. I will definitely be buying this brand over other brands.

Let me start by start by stating that I have been a fan of Thermacell products for years. I use one hunting, and I have several for home and camping use. I was visiting my family down in South Florida this last week. With all the "social distancing" going on, we did a lot of sitting around my sister's patio to converse. The first night I was there, the mosquitoes would not leave you alone. The area had just recently been deluged by rain for a solid week, and the mosquito larvae were just starting to emerge from any standing water. Even though my sister has a screened in patio, it was full of mosquitoes as the dogs have a dog door they are constantly coming in and out of. On the second night of my visit, I purposely went to a retail store that I know carries Thermacell products and picked up the Patio Shield repeller. I set it up immediately upon arriving at my sister's house at 7 PM. We sat around until past 11 PM, and both my sisters commented on how amazing that neither of them had been bothered by mosquitoes all night long! My older sister was going out the next day to get 2 more her her house so she can enjoy her patio for the entire summer. Way to go Thermacell!

I had to take the first unit back for a replacement. First one would only stay on for about a second or two, I could still hear the gas but the light would extinguish almost right away. The new unit was placed on the patio for about a half hour and when we came out the light was off. It took quite a few tries before the light would come on, this time I left the top off and it seemed to stay on. We'll see if it keeps the mosquitoes away. So I'm not sure yet.

I bought this Repeller a month ago & my wife used this on our patio recently for the first time. She was bitten several times during a 45 minute lunch with her parents. I checked several times to be sure it was lit (orange glow) & it was lit. I would definitely NOT recommend this.

I love this new repeller. It works great and gets the job done. I have 4 other repellers that I have bought since they first came on the market. Anyone looking at these, don't hesitate, buy it. I PROMISE THAT YOU WILL BE WELL PLEASED. These things are the best thing in this century.

We full time travel in an RV. Mosquitoes are a problem everywhere! We've used Thermacell's portable devices for some time, and still do. Dislike sprays and wipes, although you use them when needed. These... to date, we've not found a better option - they work. Our hope is that the Patio Shield casts a somewhat bigger coverage area than the portable. As we've only used it a few times thus far, that verdict is still out. Rarely give a 5 rating since there is always room for improvement. Nevertheless, the devices are our "go to" solution! (tip - instructions do not explicitly state it, but cover must be left off when in use!)

We recently bought a thermacell and it does not work. Not glowing light....NOTHING! Tried buying a refill pack as maybe the Butane defective. Watched several you tube videos thinking maybe we weren’t doing something right. Followed every step on the instructions as well on you tube and still no glowing light.
