I read the the reviews about this protein shake being thick but decided to try it anyway. I opened the lid and went to take a "sip". A small glop of what I would describe as thin pudding glopped out into my mouth, nothing else moved. I was a little unsettled by this but the bit I did get tasted good so I decided to be brave and move on. I put a straw in the container and sipped it out that way. This makes it more palatable and removes the "thick equals gross" thoughts from my mind. I decided against sending the case back and exchanging it. I'm thrilled that Sam's finally has an affordable vegan protein drink. I usually drink the vegan Orgain brand but it is so expensive. I think if Owyn did something about the texture of this drink that they can give Orgain a run for their money. I removed one star for rhe texture and consistency. Otherwise it would be 5 stars.

Give up the competition-smoothie drinks and enjoy the thick, rich health-in-a-carton that OWYN meal replacement smoothies provide!! I would rather drink these than a milkshake-- and NO GUILT! Lol No other product like these can offer 36 grams of plant-based protein. Not Boost, or Glucerna, or Atkins. The thick rich flavor is surprising. I prefer chocolate, but pnut butter cup and vanilla are also good choices if you can find them.

I have read multiple reviews where people say this does not taste good. I don't know what the heck they've been drinking, but I bought two boxes of this and will be going back to the store this week for more. This is a great pre-workout drink. There's no sugar in this, and my body appreciates the fiber.

I drink a few different brands protein shakes because I like variation but this is my favorite. It is plant sourced and does not contain animal products. While other brands have nice variety of flavors I drink Owyn because what it contains is IMO, better overall nutrition for the reasons I use protein shakes daily.

I have bought several cases of these during the past year for my mother who needed additional protein in her diet to help a wound heal. The first few cases were ok but the last three I bought were too thick and you can barely pour them out of the carton as others have mentioned. Don't buy!

This shake has the most protein per calorie of any non-dairy shake. As far as taste is concerned: all non-dairy shakes struggle, but this one is tolerable at room temperature and dare I say good when cold. The Sam's Club price of <$2 per shake is tough to beat not just for this product but for any 20g+ protein shake.

Just tried this with caution since it was labeled, 'like motor oil.' For those of us who are gluten free, dairy free, and GI challenged to where artificial sweeteners, inulin, and preservatives cause more problems, this is a very good alternative to 'normal' protein shake/meal replacement. It caused no allergic reactions, inflammatory responses or bloatedness. If it's too thick for ya, hey, thin it out with your best liquid milk or even water, and give it a good stir or shake. I gave it four stars because it's still in the first 48 hours.

These are absolutely one of the worst shakes I've ever had! They have the consistency of loose yogurt or cake batter, and the taste and after taste do NOT make up for it. Absolutely terrible. I bought 2 of these on a recommendation, and I shouldn't have. Stick with one you like!
