The texture is creamy, you can taste a little bit of chalky but to overpowering. It tastes best chilled leaving a pleasant aftertaste. It's slightly pricey, but it's justified by the quality of ingredients and nutrients. It's a convenient option for parents or people that are constantly on the road/on the go!

I enjoy these very much. The chocolate isn't overpowering. Love the fact that it's plant based as I am lactose intolerant due to my lupus. At 51 years old and trying to figure out what I can and CAN'T have in the last year has been a roller coaster ride!!!! So I was ecstatic to find OWYN

I LOVE this protein! I blend it with ice and instant coffee, or instant espresso. It's similar to a frappe'. It's not gritty, but not blended, it is pretty thick.

Make sure to shake VERY well. I liked the idea of dairy free. As someone in theirs 40’s, that works at a high paced job- this has replaced my breakfast most days. I still have a couple snacks though out the day, like some fruit and meat sticks. It has a good chocolate flavor. Not too sweet (unless you don’t shake it). It’s worth a try. I have one per day and now I’m on my second box.

I purchased this product because it was less expensive than my usual protein drink and because it was non-dairy. I was pleasantly surprised at the chocolate flavor but I did note a kind of chalky after taste when I finished the drink. However, this was easily resolved with a glass of water.

There is a bit of an off-putting aftertaste. It's not so awful that you can't drink the shake, but I also can't ignore it. That said, it isn't chalky or lumpy. The consistency is quite smooth. If dairy-free is important to you, this is a great option to consider.

I like the clean ingredients, but the after taste is not good. It has a chemical taste to it. I believe it might be from a sweetener. I wish they would not add in artifical sweetners, people who are health concious do not add in sweetners; they are use to the taste of natural smoothies of vegtables and real fruit.

Owyn is a plant-based protein, a huge plus over whey. Personally, I would like to see Allulose instead of stevia and monk fruit. Also, remove the 10 mg of iron; I consume four containers of 32g each day, which is the limit because of the iron content. The maximum is 45 mg per day. Leucine is a must for people over 65. The $23.98 cost is steep. This is a great product, but the cost is slowly pushing me to look for other brands with the same quality at a lower price. Muscle is king for good senior health, and Owyn fills that requirement.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had to unfortunately give this a 2 star review. The taste and flavor isn't for me, only because it feels like I'm tasting medicine. It's not horrendous, but it's not for taste buds. The consistency is like normal protein shakes, and I'm not a huge fan of those either. It does feel like it's extremely healthy and good for you. Others may enjoy it but not me.

Not great I bought it once before and I drank it. It was fine. By fine I mean like five out of ten you could taste a chocolate but nothing was thick and creamy or overly decadent about the chocolate. It was a protein drink.It was thin a little bit gritty kinda and just not great. It was less expensive and got the job done. This time it was terrible it tasted like plastic and poision haha im not sure probably just something wrong with this package its in my car to return as I write this lol but im sure its just defective. So the box I had before this one was ok and got the job done . 5/10 this box 0/10 as i couldn't even drink more then 2 sips .
