Really liked choice to use either propane or gasoline. Somewhat more noise than I expected (compared to 18 year old 5500 John Deere) but also has much more power. Need to change transfer box connector (from 20 to 30 or 50 amp) before I really know what can do. So far, space heater, several lights and 7A air compressor don’t create a noticeable load. Looking at upgrading transfer to cover more than essential circuits (well pump, fridge, kitchen & electric parts of propane stove & water heater).

Super happy to have bought this generator. Super simple to setup and get running in no time. Has alot of great features that made it hard to pass up on. Remote start, or pull start, battery with a tender dual fuel options, screen read out. Really impressed so far.

I bought this WGen9500 after the recent freeze and power loss in south Texas. I used the Westinghouse WGen3600 during that storm and, although it worked great for the three days of lost power, I need additional power to run an air conditioner during the approaching hot hurricane season. The WGen9600 will be perfect for future hurricane seasons. I am very impressed with Westinghouse generators.

I got this generator in Jan. I just open the box and it was packed great. It was better than i expected I put the oil in and charge the battery, this generator has it all, I can't wait to use it. I picked up my Westinghouse WGen 12500/9500 yesterday from Family Farm And Home. After unboxing, it was very simple to put together. After adding oil and midgrade gas, turned fuel shutoff to open, pushed the start button and it started immediately. Ran it for 5 hours, then changed the oil as recommended by Westinghouse. Now I'm waiting for the power to go out. I know quite a few people that have this same generator and us it for home backup and love it. It will run their whole home with no problem.

After carefully and thoroughly searching for a generator, I kept coming to this one due to the ease of use, the great reviews and the remote is a bonus for my wife to use when I'm not home. It has everything I was looking for in a generator plus added things I didn't think I needed. I'll be ordering the ST Switch soon to complete the system. Very happy and pleased with this WGen9500DF. Hurricane Irma left us without power for 5 day a few years ago. I vowed to my wife that it won't be the case next time. After a lot of procrastination, research and my wife's constant "encouragement" to "at least buy something", I decided that I would get a generator that would run the whole house. This powerful dual fuel model fits the bill. Plus, it has great reviews. I will be hiring an electrician to install an interlock switch before the hurricane season swings into action. I have never owned a generator before and found it easy to add the leg supports and wheels. I followed the easy to understand set up instructions and connected it to a propane tank, pushed the start button and it started right away. I'm not looking forward to hurricane season but it's better to have a generator and not need it than to need it and not have it.

I purchased this generator as a backup in case of occasional power outages we have been experiencing. It has enough power to supply all the energy I need to get most of my home appliances running as normal. Having an option of gas or propane is a big plus! The generator is well made, and easy to operate.

Assembly was incredibly easy, and the push button start makes this thing a breeze to use. The instructions are clear and everything on the control panel is marked, making this the easiest generator I've ever used. So far it's handled everything we've thrown at it, and makes me feel better knowing we're prepared for severe weather.
