We bought this unit a weeks ago and it just arrived today. Unboxing it was fun, installing the wheels and rubber legs was very easy to do. Comes with oil, small tool bag, funnel, propane regulator and hose. Right now I’m charging the battery. Also, it came with a battery charger. So far it’s what we wanted and need since we live full time in our Fifth Wheel Trailer.

I have not used this generator yet but shipping was a nightmare. First one came damage. Had to ship the damaged one back. Make sure you keep the box it comes in and also the pallet it comes on. You will need both of those to ship it back. You have to fill out all the return paperwork and schedule the pick ip

I am glad I bought this generator. It is well built. The push start is a breeze. No more manually cracking a generator to start it. It can also be wired directly into the house. I haven't come across anything yet that seems flimsy or made of cheap materials, except for the fuel type selection button. I wish it was more tactile/heavy. I love the battery charger option. Now I never have to worry about the battery dying on me. Things I like: * Built well * Feature packed * Easy and predictable start * Works as described Things that need to be improved: * Shipping times * Westinghouse barely gave me enough oil to fill the engine to just about the low oil level mark. I know they drain it before shipping it but I barely had enough oil to test start it. * The manual did not specify the oil capacity of the engine. Only time will tell if this or any generator is worth it; but as of right now; I love it.

I just purchased this generator after a major storm rolled through my area. I was without power for two days. I wish I had this sooner. It's easy to assemble and super easy to use. I akso love the dual fuel feature. Way to go Westinghouse. Keep doing what you're doing. Thus is a great product!

My purpose was to find portable back up generator large enough to meet my needs. Researched serveral different brands. I kept coming back to this generator due to value of size, comes with essential tools, oil, funnel to get it up and running. I thought the remote start and duel fuel were great pros. Startup was straightforward. I don't have a lot of run time on it yet but promising thus far. One flaw was boxing- box was fine externally but frame of generator had some cosmetic abrasions/scratches but didn't appear to affect function.

Generator was easy to setup. I love the electric start and remote keyfob feature. I hooked up a propane tank and the generator started with no issues. I bought this because we've had several power outages the last few months. So i did my research and Westinghouse had excellent reviews, plus i have a friend that has this same model and he loves it.

I bought the 9500DF generator in mid September after suffering from a few days with no power. This thing is a BEAST! Started right up after doing all the pre-start procedures for first time start. Being able to start it up from in the house with the key fob is priceless! I love it. I expect it will serve our family VERY well.

This generator puts out plenty of wattage for running a welder and or compressor in the field for working on tractors when there is a breakdown. Being able to run on gas or propane is a great bonus and having the battery start is a nice additional feature

I have just received this generator and have only operated it for a 60 minute break-in. It fired up right out of the box, no hesitation at all using propane. First off I would like to point out the quality that is built into this machine. The electric start is a great feature, and also including this really cool long distance key-chain remote to start and stop it from over 100 yards away. No need to weather the storm to stop or start your generator. Another great feature is the dual-fuel ability. this allows you to switch between gas or propane without even turning off the generator. no more temporary blackouts while you change the type of fuel. Includes everything you will need to start it up, (Minus you fuel choice) including a wrench, spark-plug tool, funnel, pouch, propane hose and regulator assembly and even the 1-quart 1-ounce bottle of oil. When this item arrived and was opened every thing was in perfect condition. The packaging was superior in protecting the unit. Assembly was amazingly simple and well thought-out. One of the first indicators of this machines quality is when you first lift the transporting handle to move it. It is a beefy handle with foam wrapping for comfort. The very well designed balance of this generator makes it effortless to more about. My wife can move it with little effort. The tires are large and the lift handle is strong, hefty and secure. O yeah.... the units resting feet have suction cups built-in to prevent the generator from creeping around while running on a smooth surface. I can not wait to put the this machine to work.... My unit was delivered yesterday and was anxious about it because I'm not mechanically inclined. Instructions were clear. I set it up, paying attention to the safety guides, and Bingo, she started right up. I then hooked it up our 50A receiver, and one-by-one opened each circuit to the house. Again, Bingo. The generator easily adjusted to each load and purred like a kitten when all circuits were opened. Winters are a little sketchy here and I'm very comfortable that when the next power loss occurs our basic needs will be more than met.
