We bought this to replace a smaller Generac that served us well. But, we wanted to be able to power more; our water heater, well pump, even a/c, as well as our security system and cameras. (We’re kind of remote, out in the country) It came in two days, perfectly boxed, no damage at all. The SAIA driver kindly wheeled it right into our garage. I used a small floor jack to jack each side up to install the wheels and foot pegs. Basically, it was unboxed, instructions read, and ready to fill the oil in no more than 20 minutes. I charged the battery for a couple of hours, although the indicator lit yellow from the box; I just wanted it to be well-charged. I added half a tank of gas for now, paired the remote, and it started up instantly. After ten minutes or so, I threw the main breaker and plugged in some lamps, etc., to see if it was working. The duplex plugs are all working fine. We’ll be hooking this up to a 300-gallon propane tank soon, running 50A directly into the plug under our breaker box; but I wanted to check it out on gas first. So far, so good. I have little doubt but that this will be a great generator for some time to come. It’s beautiful, stout, and seems very well-built.

Purchased to power my house when needed during outages. Unit was tested and powered on with propane no problem. Ran all the circuits I checked via 50amp plug to box, did not test AC but from what I understand should have no problem depending on the size of your unit.

I purchased this generator to replace another aging Craftsman generator that I have had since 2004. I live in Florida and need to have a reliable generator that can power my entire home during power outages. This one fits the bill. Gas or propane can power this generator. I hired an electrician to install a power box next to my electric meter and two double throw 50 amp circuit breakers in my existing power panel in my garage along with a generator interlock switch. Now, instead of running extension cords, I do the following to power my home using the Westinghouse generator. Turn off the main power switch (next to electric meter) to my home and then turn off all of the circuit breakers. Move the interlock switch to allow the generator circuit breakers to be used. Flip the two newly installed generator circuit breakers, and plug in the generator to the power box and turn it on. Then, I turn on all of the circuit breakers for my entire home one at a time. Everything in my home has power. This includes all rooms, appliances, and the central A/C unit. Way to go Westinghouse!!!

I bought the wheel kit along with it and it was a piece of cake to put on. I hooked the generator up to my propane canister and after several failed attempts to start it I finally realize that the choke was turning itself of prematurely. Once I fixed that it started right up and ran excellently.

The instructions are easy to read and understand. It is easy to start up and use and an all-around nice-looking piece of equipment. The wheels and handle make it a lot easier for an older person to move it around. I haven't "loaded it up" yet but am looking forward to seeing what this beast can do.

I purchased this fuel generator, it starts with no problem, I love the remote starting fob. It's simple to switch between fuel sources. I love the fact that all electrical sockets are covered, this definitely will prevent any water or bug from going inside the sockets. I highly recommend this unit. Thanks, John

This was bought for a project that has no power hook-up. The set -up was so easy. I will advise that you read over the directions before doing the remote start pairing. It was very simple to do. Just take it easy! The generator fired up after a push on the stater of about 3 seconds. Very impressed! Also, it takes the whole bottle of engine oil and 5 gals of gas to fill.

I have only had this unit for a couple of days. Some assembly required was a breeze and first time startup went off without a hitch, No problems. I fired the generator up on Propane and it ran smooth a could be. Overall the generator looks well built and hopefully there will be no problems down the road. I bought this unit because I foresee power outages in the future and I don't want to loose all my meat supply. I looked at a lot of different generators and Westinghouse seems to have the best customer rating. I have a long working history with Westinghouse and they have always worked with me if their was a problem with a product.

I bought the 9500DF to offset my home battery backup in emergency. It is a very cost effective way to support my HVAC unit in an outage, via a transfer switch to my breaker panel, without draining the backup battery that supports the rest of the house. I like that I can choose between fuel types as well and the convenience of a remote start. I love having the security to know I will always have power when needed.

I purchased this generator 2.5 years ago for just in case we need situation. As soon I received it, I ran with both gas (ethanol free) and propane through just to make sure everything worked correctly, and it did. Flash forward to this past week when we got hit with a blizzard with 70 mph wind gust snapping power poles and taking out our electricity. I got out this generator and first tried starting it with remote start finding out the battery was dead my fault for not keeping on trickle charger. First, I tried starting on the gas setting and it wouldn't pull start, I'm sure from the gas sitting in for 2.5 years my fault again. So, then I hooked up a propane tank and switched it over, and it started on 3rd pull. After running on propane for 3 hours I wanted try the gas setting again to see if it after running it would stir, free up the gas that was it and I did add some fresh gas to it as well, it started on 2nd pull and ran the rest of the time with no problems. I will definitely drain the gas out this time or add some fuel stabilizer. And of course, put the battery on a trickle charge.
