After carefully and thoroughly searching for a generator, I kept coming to this one due to the ease of use, the great reviews and the remote is a bonus for my wife to use when I'm not home. It has everything I was looking for in a generator plus added things I didn't think I needed. I'll be ordering the ST Switch soon to complete the system. Very happy and pleased with this WGen9500DF. I live in Houston, Tx. We have weather related power outages every 4 to 5 years. I am using this generator to connect to connect to an axillary 10 circuit transfer switch to give me temporary power for my refrigerator and nine other circuits in my home. Kind of a poor man's back up generator at a fifth of the price. The duel fuel capabilities, portability, size and power will be more than enough to meet my needs.

I purchased and received this generator within the last three weeks however I am very pleased with the packaging & appearance of this item as I have been searching for the right emergency generator for months. I will complete the start-up this week and update this review at that time.

Product surpassed my expectations. Everything I needed to get it going was included- even a battery charger that was not mentioned in the parts list!. Generator started up immediately when instructions were followed. Remote start is a very nice feature. This is an excellent buy given all the features.

I bought this generator back in January but it was 2 months before I had time to get it up and running. I am off the grid and use it to supplement my solar when needed. It was easy to setup and get started. It worked great and was able to run my house while also recharging the solar batteries.

The WestGen9500DF was very easy to assemble. It was also at our location a day prior. I have not fired it up yet however, it is made in the US of America and I'm excited of that and not supporting the China. The Gen looks great! I will write another review when I test run it. Purchase this unit a few days ago after owning a smaller unit that I have had for a few years. With the on going power outages I needed a larger unit to handle the loads living in a house with well water and septic system. I know this unit will last a long time

At this time I am only giving a 3 star. Due to the fact that I can not manually start it with the pull cable when using propane. It will start manualy with the pull cable on gasoline with more than usual effort, then I would expect. But it will start at least manually on gas. I would like to give it a 5 star rating, but I am concerned about it not starting on propane using the manual pull cable. I would expect something better new right out of a box. Even the excessive effort to start it manually on gasoline. It starts with the starter and with remote key, both on propane and on gasoline. It seems to run really good and holds a good heavy load, which I'm impressed, at least about holding a load.

We purchased this product for size and ease of operation. We needed to power a good portion of our home and the relative ease of operation. No longer having to go out during the storm to start up. When the storm is approaching, we simply preset the gas to on and prep for start up. When the power goes out, press the remote start and we are back in power. With supplied the battery tender, we never have to worry whether the battery is charged or not. Definitely the best generator we have ever purchased.
