This is a clearly a high quality generator. Easy to follow instructions to get the wheels on and set up and running. Super easy to start - I am impressed. Haven't had to rely on it for power yet, but I am confident it will be ready when I need it most.

I bought this item Saturday July 6th 2024. I got it and did a break in period on Sunday. Hurricane Beryl came in on on Monday July 8th. The generator worked just fine for the first 4 hours. Then I heard a shift in the sound of the generator and I lost the power to the 2 fans and refrigerator I had running off of it. The generator still runs, it doesn't give any electrical power though. It will occasionally com back and let some power through for 5 or 10 minutes. When it loses power the LED screen goes black and it trips the GFCI outlets. I have tried to get support from the website. I have heard nothing from them in over a week.

Purchased this Westinghouse generator to replace an older and much smaller no name one. By far the best value for the money of all the others I researched. A lot of features and great reviews made this an easy decision. Love the idea of it running on propane as well as everyone has propane bottles around. I'm positive it will exceed my expectations and kind of hoping a power outage is in the near future to try it out.

This purchase is my second 9500DF. I purchased my first one a year ago and could not be more pleased. I run it on Propane. My neighbor had purchased another brand of the same size generator and was very unhappy with it. It would never start. After he saw how reliably the 9500DF started he sold his and purchased a 9500DF. Arrived this morning, looked good, read the manual, and did the easy assembly (wheels and feet). Followed the instructions step by step to prepare the generator for use with gasoline. This thing comes with a battery trickle charger which I thought was odd but went ahead and plugged it in. It wasn't necessary as battery already had a good charge. Hit the start button and the engine just turns over but no sign of start. I then hooked up the propane tank to the generator per instructions and it starts right up. Switch back to gasoline and it dies. After an hour or so of trying to figure out the problem, I decide to call the help number. On hold for a very, very long time and then finally, I'm talking to someone, not a tech who might be able to help me, but an answering service where the very nice guy takes all my information and submits a ticket for me and tells me someone should get back to me within 48 hours. I wish I hadn't bought this brand but it's here so let's see what happens.

I bought this for peace of mind after losing power for days after a hurricane. It fits perfectly in my backyard and is just what I need to supply electricity to my refrigerator and window unit air conditioner plus a few extras. It’s easy to start and maintain.

I purchased this item to power our home during power outages. This generator is an awesome tool and a must have, if you experience outages, or just need a great source for portable power. I currently have it wired to my home with an inlet box and an interlock kit. I installed it all myself. I also purchased and installed a soft start switch on my A/C unit. Now, my wife and I are totally ready for any power outages. We can be comfortable in our home without any worries. I also hand built a custom shed for my generators. The remote start on this Westinghouse is a huge plus. My wife can get everything powered up in less than 5 minutes

I read so many reviews looking for the right generator to power the essentials of our house during a power loss. Settled on this one, and it was easy to set up and ran on the first try. I familiarized myself with lots of reviews where people left their recommendations for options to connect to the house, and we got a plug installed that allows us to power the whole house via the one plug. Yes, it's loud, but not unbearable, especially when the alternative is no power. Love the dual fuel feature and I love the fact that it does NOT connect to a smartphone like some models do. Assembly was easy and it's easy to move once it's on its wheels. The instructions are well-written and easy to follow. Tip: We did have to add a little more oil than the quart that came with the generator, so you may want to have some extra on hand.

Ordered online and was delivered last week, Only took a week or less to receive it from across the US. Was very impressed that the generator was strapped down on its own pallet and had No Damage from shipping. Looks and feels well built, was easy to setup. I did put a little more oil than what came with it to fill up to the oil stick mark, not a problem for me but it might make the oil level shutoff not start the engine if you don’t check your oil level. Was easy to start after connecting the battery cables, fuel and oil. This should power the majority of our house when the power goes out. I was impressed that when you push the start button on generator it will attempt to start for a few seconds then pause a few seconds and then attempt to start again by itself automatically, this keeps from overheating the starter, smart engineering! Remote start works great also. Was expecting the generator to be louder than it is, not much louder than my 3500 watt, a definite plus! Have already recommended this WGen9500DF to my friends!

This generator was highly recommended by our electrician who has one at his home. He said this model was the best product for the money anywhere. I am really impressed by how easy it is run and how easy it is to do regular maintenance- like changing the oil, etc. I would recommend the WGen9500DF to anyone in the market for a dependable and affordable home generator.
