What a sharp looking machine!

With as many power outages that we have here (last one was for 8 days) we decided to break down and buy a generator this year. With the 9500DF we won't have to sleep outside this year. This generator should power most of our home, especially by sectional powering what we need at the time. I love that it has 50A setup as that is the box we have on our home. The key fob is a cool lil edition bu I don't think we'll use that. We are just overly thrilled to have powet

Great value, easy setup

bought this as we live remote location and have frequent power interruptions. Delivery was complicated, but once on site, setup was a breeze. Everything needed for start up is included, even a funnel to make it easy to add included oil. Hooked up a propane tank to it, plugged in the battery and it started right away. Our electrician added a plug /w lockout to our meter base for a quick connection. We are able to run our lights, fridgerator’s, Freezers, & satellite internet, as well as some small appliances. All in all it’s a great little generator.

Worth the money!

I purchased this generator less than a month ago. Directions were very simple and easy to understand. I had generator running in less than 15 minutes. I put it to the test on day 1. Connected my 50 amp cord to the breaker box and ran everything we needed. Generator ran 2- 12,000 btu westinghouse mini-split systems, tv, dvr, lights, fridge, microwave, well, and hot water tank without missing a beat. Great product

Generator Westinghouse WGen9500DF

After testing the Westinghouse WGen9500DF generator, I can say without hesitation that it’s one of the best backup equipment investments I’ve made. I bought it primarily as a power source for home emergencies. The Westinghouse WGen9500DF isn’t the cheapest generator out there, but it’s definitely one of the most complete and reliable in its class. It’s perfect for those who want to be truly prepared. This isn’t a lightweight unit—it’s serious equipment for when you need real, dependable power without fail.

Great Westinghouse generator

I bought the generator the first of August to replace older generator that would not run my household. I loose power often and need the larger generator to furnish my home needs like A/C which I didn’t have before. Satisfied with the generator and it works great

Best Deal for 50A Generator

Let me preface this by saying i purchased this along with a Westinghouse14-50P to 6-50R adapter to make a portable welding setup. I wanted a larger unit that was dual fuel to be able to use with a transfer switch setup for my house if ever needed. Out of all the available generators on the market this came with what I felt was the most features at the best price point. After assembly and adding oil and fuel the unit started up immediately with the remote (I was amazed, I thought there would be a process to pair the remote). It ran flawlessly, I could not be happier with the purchase.

Great Features and Enough Power for an Outage

Got this generator recently. After installing an interlock kit and a power inlet box, I was ready to test generator. I hooked it up and went thru my test cycle in less than an hour. With careful load management, during a power outage, it will have sufficient power for my house with a 3.5 tons AC, two refrigerators, and other appliances.

Purchased Generator - great so far

We moved into a new home 2 years ago out in the country. Neighbors told us - we don't lose power very often, so you really don't need to spend the money and get a generator. Well five major power outages later we broke down to get a generator. We researched a lot of generators and purchased the WGen9500 - so far so good - it's been working great. I will admit it is a heavy unit. The system runs all of the essential items we need and then some. We did have to purchase some of the electrical power connections. But it does come with all of the essentials to hook up to a propane or natural gas. It also comes with a can of oil and set up is very easy.

Started first time

This appears to be a well-made generator. It arrived boxed with no damage. Assembly was very easy. The unit came with oil, 1.1-quart container, and a very nice, angled funnel which made filling the engine mess free. I kept the 1.1-quart container and cable tied the funnel to it. I will fill the 1.1-quart bottle from a gallon of oil I purchased when i change the oil. It makes it a no brainer on how much oil it takes. Although I always manually check the oil level before each use. I will probably never put gasoline in this unit. I don't want to worry about keeping the gas fresh. With using propane, you do loose a little power, but for my purpose, it is more than enough to run my whole house or my 5th wheel RV with two ac's if needed. I hooked up the propane hose and checked for leaks. I also made sure the main breaker was in the off position and started the unit with the remote control that came with it. It started first crank. I also used the push button and the pull to start feature and all started with ease. I ran the unit and connected small items at first. After the unit was properly broke in, I connected it to the RV. It powered everything with power to spare. The unit is a little loud, but when you need this for emergencies, that is insignificant. The unit has many nice features. I really like that it has a remote that will work up to 99 feet away. That way, I can set up the unit away from the house and not worry about CO fumes. I am very satisfied with this unit so far. I recommend this if you need a nice portable generator. Be advised though, it does weigh a little over 200 lbs. With the solid wheels and pull arm, it is easy to move though. I hope this information helps with your decision to buy one. Have a great day, Billy W.

Reliable Powerhouse – A Must-Have for Emergencies

I recently purchased this genarator and couldn't be more impressed. From the moment I unboxed it, the quality and build were evident. The dual fuel capability (gasoline and propane) is a game-changer, offering flexibility and peace of mind during extended power outages or off-grid use. Setup was straightforward—everything from the instructions to the quick start guide was easy to follow. The electric start worked flawlessly, and the remote start feature is incredibly convenient, especially during stormy weather when you don't want to go outside. Performance-wise, this generator is a beast. With 9500 running watts and 12500 peak watts, it powers essential appliances with ease, including our refrigerator, lights, sump pump, and even the central AC unit. It runs smoothly and surprisingly quiet for its size, which is a big plus. Fuel efficiency is impressive. On propane, it ran for hours without needing a refill, and the built-in fuel gauge makes it easy to monitor usage. The control panel is well laid out and user-friendly, with plenty of outlets to cover all our needs. In short, the WGen9500DFc offers reliability, convenience, and power when you need it most. Whether you're preparing for hurricane season, working on remote job sites, or just want backup power for peace of mind, this generator delivers. Highly recommended!
