I lost power for 2 days and I needed to borrow a generator from a freind. It happened to be a Westinghouse WGen9500DF. I loved it so much I purchased one for myself. I really liked the dual fuel option most. I do not know how often I'll use it, but I'm sure glad I have it.

Bought this as a backup for winter in a house that we recently moved in to. House was already wired for generator and this model hooked right up. Love the dual fuel option for flexibility. And remote start is a bonus feature. Started right up after the assembly.

Purchased to power my home appliances, lighting, pool equipment for 2500sqft Florida home. Easy to startup and runs consistently smooth, plenty of clean power for my entire home electrical system. Fantastic generator to own. I run on LP and is much easier to store tanks and battery charger is a plus

Just got this shipped today. Unboxed it. Wheels are easy. Insert screws for feet from the bottom pointing up if you want to save time. Will start it up shortly. Only minor scratches on the frame bars. Other than that, seems to be in good shape cosmetically.

I must say this product has exceeded my expectations. It's more than capable of running my whole house and having power left over. The generator came fully assembled other than needing oil put in it and the battery needs to be plugged in. it's basically ready to go. I applaud GE on this generator

Westinghouse makes giant generators that power our cities! if anybody knows how to build a portable generator its westinghouse! what took you so long with your brand name recognition? it works great love the 9500 watt continuous with remote start for weekly test run from the comfort of staying inside my home. I can run a 4 ton central ac in cool mode. 2 refrigerators and all led lights TV of course. if running central AC , Turn off the electric water heater and dont use electric stove and this works well, and the power from the generator itself is clean enough to operate the honeywell digital thermostat, even at 25% THD. the Champion 6200 watt bought 1 month earlier cant operate the thermostat due to a highter Thd or electricity which is less clean. It has a 3 yr warranty !!! cast iron piston sleeve, basically thats what the commercial series portable engines use. so hopefully the generator itself will last as long as the engine if its not overloaded . also turn on your breakers sequentially by highest priority in summerheat like this 1 lights 2 AC if ac kicks immediately dont turn on next breaker until the generator rpm levels out which takes about 4 seconds 3 refrigerators dont use electric stove until ac turns off, overcool home 1 hour before shower time , then turn off ac and flip on breaker for water heater which takes 4500 watts 1/2 the total watts of this 9500 watt generator, wait 30 minutes is all it takes to heat up the water tank and its shower time. same for cooking , cook on portable gas stoves or cook in bettween ac cycles only just turn off ac for quick cooking meals , grits eggs this is how we managed during hurricane IDA 2021 . if you overload the generator ck by ampdraw or look at the hertz mode on the gen display , it shouldnt go below 60 hz. as the rpm slows down the hertz reduces as an indication its overloaded you can ck the hertz by pushing the very small button on gen display the more load put on generator the slower the rpm and the less and less hertz reading . as hertz is set on 3600 rpm which is why all generators need to run at this rpm. the easiest thing to do is to overload this and the generator its self will overheat shortening lifespan, which is why so many generators for sale as used have motors still run but generates no electricity, gen is burned up. this is my experience living on generators during hurricane outages since 2012 hurricane gustav 1 gen was accidentally abused , just cuz it can run more items doesnt mean that its ok. hope this helps the newer Gen users just getting into it since hurricane ida as i sas a lot of 1st timers. so easy to spot with those small gas cans. you need about 8 large 5 gall cans since we also have gas shortages while having to use genrators , and gas rationing 4 cans per customer, the irony.

We are very excited about this investment because historically we have several power outages each year. We've owned a smaller generator for many years and it's been a lifesaver in keeping the refrigerator/freezer going. But due to its size, it can only power so much. We've been considering a "whole house" model for some time and after seeing the positive reviews and that it was on sale, we pulled the trigger. Set up was straightforward and quick. And we don't know how to act with all these features...having the push button start and gauges are a game changer. The unit itself is compact, sturdy and each option is clearly labeled. It is HEAVY, but the handle and wheels make it so easy to move around. We haven't used it yet, but it's ready to go when needed. We are confident in this generator with the Westinghouse name behind it.

The unit was as advertised, cranked with first try, I'm an electrician so my first move was to check the voltage, perfect with Fluke 87, GFCI 120v outlets were present code correct weather resistant, all switches and breakers worked , I'm happy with unit.

So far this unit has treated us very well. It's easy to set-up and operate. We are still in the break-in period so I haven't pushed it at all yet, but it seems very well made. I love the dual fuel option and the best part about that is that the unit came with all the hook-ups needed for the propane. I was expecting to have to purchase that separately. The push button start is great as well as the remote start. It comes with a maintenance schedule and a parts list as well so no digging through the internet to find what you may need. The wheel could be a bit more rugged, but I don't plan to drag it through the woods anytime soon. Overall it seems like a sturdy unit and well worth the money at this price point.

Bought this a few days agao and this thing is massive! Feels like its built great, easy to assemble, remote start for the win lol started up right away. Cant wait to use it for the first time to see what it can handle. Overall im pleased so far, once i put it to work I will see how i like it.
