Being retired and in our first year in Florida and not knowing what to expect during hurricane season, my wife and I wanted a portable generator to help when city electric is down and not available during a storm. We purchased the WGen9500DF to power our home AC unit along with other kitchen appliances. The wireless remote allows us to stay indoors and start generator when needed and avoid the need to go outside and get wet. The designers did a good job on this unit.

Just received the WGen9500DF and found it easy to assemble. I do recommend more than one person unboxing and assembling, which I didn't do. All parts were there and instructions were spot on. When we get a winter storm I'll need to leave another review but until then, so far, so good!

I bought this two weeks ago. There was some simple set up: wheels, feet, oil to add, (which came with the unit) battery connection, etc. Very simple. I hooked up LP, but there's also a gas option. I started it remotely and it sprang to life. Powers the whole house - refrigerator and furnace included - love it!

I purchased this generator two weeks ago, and it's already in my little generator house, and ready for winter. I am so amazed how many wonderful features this generator has. It can run on propane or gas, comes with a battery and battery maintainer, and believe it or not, a remote starter!! I am going to love that feature. The set-up was easy, and the operator's manual is the best manual I've ever seen. It has great instructions, and it's full of excellent pictures and diagrams - it has pictures and descriptions of everything you need to know along with step-by-step instructions that are in "large print" for older eyes like mine. This unit is well made and well designed. All of the features, that need to be accessed frequently, are located on the front of the generator including the oil drain and the crankcase where the oil is filled. A funnel, to add the oil, was even included. I live in a very wooded area in North Idaho and get a lot of cold weather and several feet of snow. Our electricity goes out often in the winter because of the trees falling over the power lines. It's predicted that this winter is going to be a doozey. This year, with my Westinghouse WGen 9500DF generator, I'll be ready for it.

I bought this a couple months ago, and I have been impressed so far with how well it seems to be made. Once I finally figured out all the switches to turn on and to connect the battery, it cranked up with a charm. I was also able to convert it over to natural gas by buying another regulator. Happy so far with the purchase.

Just bought this generator and it was delivered fast. Two days early. Directions were easy to follow. Had it all together and running in no time. Was a lot quieter then I thought it would be with its size. Ran everything I asked it to and more. Would recommend this 12500 generator to anyone. Great machine.

I bought this at the beginning of the year and I am finally getting the chance to unboxed it. The generator has really great features and it started instantly with the electric start. I have not had the chance to use it yet but I am sure it will perform.

I bought this a bit over a week ago and was really happy how easy it was to get going on both gas and propane. Easy final assembly, good instructions, and what appears to be excellent build quality. Started right up and ran some of my tools in the garage for about an hour. Really happy so far.

I bought the WGen9500DF like 2 months ago because I loose power frequently where I live. After setting up my new generator I gave it a test run with gas. I started it with remote start. Wow it started right up. Then I hooked it up to my house to test it. Again Wow! It ran 2 refrigerators, well, boiler, one burner on stove, lights, and receptacles with ease. This thing is a beast. What I like about this model is the easy remote start with the battery, the no flat tires, the fold down handle for storage, the digital display (voltage, frequency, hours and maintenance timer), the built in battery charger and the easy fuel selector from gas to propane. I did a lot of reseach on brands and features and this one has alot of bells and whistles for a good price. I give it 5 stars. If your're thinking of buying a generator check the model WGen9500DF out. You won't be disapointed!

I bought this unit to handle our power needs during emergencies. The unit runs great and will handle our needs when called upon. It was easy to assemble and it started up quickly and easily with the electric starter. Break in was a breeze. And having the trickle charger with the unit was a nice feature.
