Very impressed with this generator. Starting with the packaging it came, excellent. Build quality is top shelf. It's a beast. Love the features that come with this model at an affordable price, you can't go wrong!! Looking forward to many years of service with this machine. It's definitely up to the task.

I made my wife run through the process of checking oil, fuel, starting, stopping and stowing the generator. She was amazed at how easy it was! She was especially excited about the key fob. No need to even go outside in the storm, she can start the generator from inside. We haven't done more than a few test runs yet, but as they say, winter is coming......

The first one we received was damaged and it took some time to get a replacement. Unfortunately I had to email multiple times the manufacturer to get this moving. The replacement then lost the lock for the handle with the first usage. Hope it will work when the first snowstorm comes.

Ordered the wgen9500 online. Shipping company called in a couple days to arrange delivery. The unloaded it and put it where i needed. Unit was easy to assemble. I attached a whole house plug and amazed how much power it puts out. Definitely money well spent.

Purchased this for a power backup. The generator is a nice size. It has a little weight to it but with the handles on the frame. It moves pretty easy. It runs everything in our house that needs to be run. For the size the noise level isn't that bad. I have not used the propane part of it but everything else on it works perfectly. Make sure you read the manual and break it in like you are supposed to. I would recommend this to others. Starts very easily.

Very impressed with this generator. Shipping box was not damaged. Followed the directions put in oil, connected propane tank and generator started right up. I’m still not done with the 5 hour break in period. So far I’m very happy with this purchase.

Haven't actually used it yet for what it is intended for, but have gone through initial testing. It is really a lot of generator for the money. The only question not answered is longevity. I have an old Honda from the 80s with probably 2,000 hours on it, still works great. Hope i can say the same about this one some day. The remote start works from about 70' away if line of sight. I really like the automatic start, if it doesn't start first try, it keeps trying by itself. It also has automatic electric choke, so it is a true push button start. No downsides to this generator that i have yet found. I have had many generators over many years, and this one is promising to be the best yet of all of the gasoline models. I have a diesel genset that works wonderfully, and is much better quality than this one, but i can buy 6 of these westinghouse gassers for the price of the diesel.

We are using this generator and a transfer switch to supply power for our house during power outages. The most important features for us was the 9,500/12,500 watts, battery start, battery cutoff, built in trickle charger, 50 and 30 amp connections, and dual fuel (gas & propane). The 50 amp plug fits the cord we plug into the 50 amp transfer switch. The 30 amp receptical fits our RV cord. It has all the other features that come on generators this size, but the 3year warranty and great price sold us on it

Very easy to setup and start. Good documentation and runs pretty quietly. Got a kick out of the remote key fob starter which allows you to start and stop with the push of a button. Grok.com assured me that the WGen9500DF has enough power to power my whole 3 bedroom house and kitchen and heat pump during an outage, so I bought this beast. We shall see how it performs during the next winter storm outage up here in the PNW Seattle area. So far though, am quite impressed.

This is the most unreliable generator ever! It never starts, especially when you need it. I would never recommend a Westinghouse generator to anyone. This is the worst piece of equipment I have ever purchased in my life. Not worth 5 cents. Can't believe this company hasn't gone out of business. Very, very unhappy with the failure to work when we have no power. It is crazy that I spent this much money and it simply will not work when you need it when the power is out. Terrible product. I had a Generac before this and it ran for over 20 years. Very discouraged with this piece of junk. It will cost more to get it fixed than it is worth.
