Very impressed with this generator. Shipping box was not damaged. Followed the directions put in oil, connected propane tank and generator started right up. I’m still not done with the 5 hour break in period. So far I’m very happy with this purchase.

Haven't actually used it yet for what it is intended for, but have gone through initial testing. It is really a lot of generator for the money. The only question not answered is longevity. I have an old Honda from the 80s with probably 2,000 hours on it, still works great. Hope i can say the same about this one some day. The remote start works from about 70' away if line of sight. I really like the automatic start, if it doesn't start first try, it keeps trying by itself. It also has automatic electric choke, so it is a true push button start. No downsides to this generator that i have yet found. I have had many generators over many years, and this one is promising to be the best yet of all of the gasoline models. I have a diesel genset that works wonderfully, and is much better quality than this one, but i can buy 6 of these westinghouse gassers for the price of the diesel.

this is a high quality unit . my generator replacement research landed on this WGen9500DF Unit came in perfect condition, and with everything needed to get started. when you set it up you'll understand the high quality. The service manual and all documentation are equally well done !!!!! I would not hesitate to recomend this generator

This generator came through for me during two power outages. I bought a Reliance 30 amp through the wall kit with a 30 amp extension which sends 30 amps into your home using six plug in outlets on the inside of your home. It's transfer switch ready should I decide to go that route. Love the remote start.

We bought it after a 4 day power outage in June, and had to use it last weekend due to another overnight outage. We got it out of the box and set up in about 30 min. Worked great all night. The full tank of gas lasted about 12 hours. We had a window unit, a light, a fridge, and a freezer connected, no problem at all. The unit is very heavy so you need 2 people to install the wheels and the feet but after that it's easy to move by one person. I'd recommend it 100%.

This is an excellent choice of a generator for home back up power. It pretty much comes assembled and you only need to put the wheels and front feet on as well as connect the battery. Make sure you fill the oil up completely or it will start and shut off. I would highly recommend it as a choice where anyone in the family can use it. You push the battery switch and hold the start button for 2 seconds. Turn the metal lever on the left side to fuel once started and flip the power breaker on the generator to use the outlets. It is definitely not as loud as older generators used to be and the choice of dual fuel makes it an excellent choice in emergency situations. It is also a 50amp so you can have an electrician add a power inlet box and it will connect to your house. Plenty of power and it runs for 12 hours on 50% power.

This is a good price for this generator. I made the mistake do not really checking it out when it arrived. After I had removed all the packaging, I noticed the top rails of the frame bent. I notified the company right away and was able to get an immediate response. I had to return it and am waiting a new one to be shipped out. Great customer service. P.S. keep your shipping material until after you checked out your purchase.

Bought this 6 months ago for random power outages at my home. Unboxed it today and started it up to test it. It worked! Very easy to hook up with propane. Electrician connected it to my main breaker with the interlock system and an electric hook up outside. Easy for anyone to use. The push battery start is so nice. As a woman, it was easy to wheel into my shed for storage. Now I'll just need to figure out how to keep the battery charged or get a small jump starter that I can keep in the garage and have it ready when generator battery needs a charge. I'm only going to be using it 1 or 2 times a year when the power is out so I can't speak yet to how well it operates for extended period of time. Should be big enough for water pump, and my fridge and basement freezer and house lights/outlets, along with other as needed items like hot water heater and dryer. I'm not using it for my AC/Heat system.

The first one we received was damaged and it took some time to get a replacement. Unfortunately I had to email multiple times the manufacturer to get this moving. The replacement then lost the lock for the handle with the first usage. Hope it will work when the first snowstorm comes.
