Extremely pleased with the purchase of this Generator. The quality and packaging is outstanding. I had the unit assembled and running on propane in 20 minutes. The electric start and dual fuel capabilities are two of the features that drew me to the purchase. I plan on using the generator for back-up power supply and will be installing a 10 circuit transfer switch to run part of our home during power outages.

Only had it a couple weeks and all I have done was powered the house with it for an hour as a test. Difficult to get through to support. I have a couple simple questions that have still gone unanswered after many back and forth communications. Specifically operation on propane at high altitudes, and recommended break in procedure. Never got an answer to either question. I marked that I would not recommend this product based on the poor support. Is support from competing companies any better? Unfortunately I have no way of knowing.

This Westinghouse 9500 DF generator just came in today. I assembled the wheels and mounting feet with no problem. I will have to go to a hardware store to purchase a fitting to hook up the supplied hose to my propane valve. If this were an emergency, I could still use gas. That is why I purchased a duel fuel generator.

Purchased the wGen9500DF for backup power when the power is out. I have a 6 circuit transfer switch that provides electricity to the critical items in the house, refrigerators, cooler, and other circuit's .I'm using propane in the unit, it starts easy and works great, it transports easily with the provided wheels and folding handle.

Generator shipped and was delivered on time with no issues at all, they placed it in my shop for my wife while I was out so it would not get wet. No damage anywhere on the box or inside. The setup with the quick start instructions was super easy and took about 10 min. Start up was simple as expected with the electric start and I appreciated having them ship in the box 1.1Q of oil, it's a small thing but showed thoughtfulness by the manufacturer. Also included a funnel and spark plug removal tool, again something that I've seen others omit from their packing. Testing of the generator went with no issues and performed exactly as expected and it's ready for our next power outage.

Purchased this for power outage emergencies. Hopeful that I really will not need it. I have not really used it it yet but I’ve been pleased with the set up - easy to do with one person. Not much assembly required and tucks easily into the garage without taking up a lot of room.

We just got this generator. It was easy to put together. On its first test it powered 2 refrigerators and a stand up deep freeze without any problem. We fully expect this to be great when needed. This review is given to qualify us for the bonus item of a generator cover.

Unboxing and setup was simple. One gripe was that there wasn't enough oil supplied to properly fill the engine. The battery came charged and started the engine easily using both gas and propane. There was a small drip coming from the fuel petcock, but went away on its own without intervention. Lastly, there should be a standard equipped energy monitor in order to calculate the amount of wattage being used so you know how much more load the generator can handle. Over all I am pleased with this product. I will leave another review after I have properly broke it in.

I just received the unit, so I can't speak to how it is going to hold up over time, but from the initial inspection and start-up it seems like a quality generator. It does seem like the wheels are pretty cheap and may not hold up if you plan to move the generator often/over rough terrain. It runs relatively quite and changing from gasoline to propane is a breeze. The remote start is a nice addition.

After a hurricane and snow/ice storm without a generator, I did several hours of research on just about every portable generator made. This model proved to be the best value, quality, and reviewed in the market. Once it arrived, it all turned out to be true. Save yourself the disappoinment of grabbing whatever is on the shelf post-disaster and invest in this quality machine beforehand.
