Generator easy to set up BUT on initial start up directions are not clear on a couple things. First, on/fuel lever location not indicated—took awhile to find and get fuel to engine, also not identified in user manual. Second, battery hook-up cable is hidden under top of generator and although it is outlined in owners manual took time to find and connect. Other than that great, started up as soon as all connections were in place, electric FOB start saves back and perspiration, neighbor and I want to starts up before hurricane season, he has a 7500 watt Firman, only recoil start—he is still trying to get started my has been running 1/2 hour.

**As a start, I'd like to say that I genuinely believe this product will be good once I have the issues resolved** Finally had a chance to actually test this. It runs amazing once it runs. Battery was DOA and isn't revivable, it won't take a charge and hold it. Not sure if the remote fob works, won't turn the unit off even when running (should work when it's on cause the alternator should be powering up that receiver, so I don't think it's synced, probably cause the battery died and there's no CMOS to keep the sync active). I also cannot pull start it with gasoline, yes I ensured to switch the fuel valve on, and turn the dial to gasoline. I can only get it to run on gasoline if I start it on propane, then switch it to gasoline, then cut off the propane from there. Crap process for a brand new machine. Hoping customer service won't be too difficult. Will update the review once I have gotten this worked out.

I bought it a few months ago. Did not produce power. Customer service has been great. They sent me a new voltage regulator to try but that did not work. They had me load it on a pallet and Westinghouse arranged to have a truck come pick it up. I just received the replacement and everything seems to be good! We will see how it goes !!

We live in a rural area that has frequent power outages. This is a replacement for my old gas powered generator that the tank rusted and fouled the carburetor constantly. We plan on ONLY using propane, which should eliminate any problems, and this generator is powerful enough to run my entire house during the storm(s)

This generator can run my entire house by way of a 220 inlet and interlock kit. My central air is 2600 watts, water heater is 4000 watts, both refrigerators equal 800 watts, plus lights and bathroom fans. This is by far the best generator I've every owned and I've had many over the years in hurricane country!

I picked up this generator for occasional power outages at my home, and to power tools at the build site of my new self-build home. I have had it for 1 week now. The power output is sufficient for all my needs, and the option of propane fuel is great in case I run out of gasoline temporarily. The setup of the generator is straightforward. The operation is a bit loud, but reasonable. To get models with higher power output and dual fuel, a lot of bells and whistles are included that I don’t need, and honestly, would rather not have, such as remote start. But overall this is a great generator and I hope that it will last me a long time.

Right out of the box, I put oil in it, a gallon of gasoline, and it started right up. The remote also was pre-programmed and works also. Several items I think are noteworthy but not necessarily a criticism. Oil filler is awkward to remove, whereas it is right in line with the battery cables. Secondly, it would have been useful to know exactly how much oil it took. It says in the manual, 1.1 (L). I do not believe that to be accurate. The tires are not going to perform well on wet grass. The manual states it should not be operated in the rain. Also, it says the generator should not be operated in an enclosure. Where do you think people are going to operate a generator in an emergency? I bought it for hurricane season, so I cannot leave it outside? Do I build a shelter for it? This is the one question I want an answer to. I think overall I am going to be pleased with it. I am having an electrician wire in a transfer panel and by my own estimations, it will power my whole house. BEFORE I need it, I will certainly plug it in and just see what the capabilities are. Just purchased and it arrived within a week! Delivery of item exceptional service. The generator is beautiful well constructed. I am a female 50’s something and have arthritis . Easy to use solid work horse. Make sure you get an electrician to hook it up for you!!

I just bought this generator and I am very pleased with the quality of the product. Although I haven't used it yet, it is great upgrade from the small portable generator I had been using when our electricity went out. The electric start and the duel fuel sold me on this product.

After doing lots of research I decided to pull the trigger on the Westinghouse 9500 Dual Fuel. The customer ratings were great and the fact I couldn’t find it in stock anywhere said a lot. Arrived early, in great condition and I can’t wait to break it in.
