This is our third try at a portable generator and our first Westinghouse. The first one was too small. The second one only lasted 21 hours. This one seems to be higher quality, has an excellent manual, the panel where we plug into is solid. I received this several days ago and so far so good. Delivery driver called before starting down my road to understand where my remote garage was located. Everything went very smoothly in terms of setting it up and getting it started up and operational. Will power up the garage this week to test it under load.

The generate came via a lift truck. It weighs over 250 pounds. Love the fact that it has wheels and stand plus padded handle from moving it around. Love the auto start and remote start. Plus I have propane tanks in the event, I run out of fuel. Super value power for our home.

This review is part of a bonus for a free cover, however, I am impress with this unit so far. It seems very well built with detailed, easy to follow instructions. After much research I have decided to run this generator off my 100 gallon propane tank for emergency situations where I should be able to get roughly 2.5-3 days non stop use and propane is much cleaner for the motor. I mainly purchased this for the dual fuel option if I happen to ever run out of propane. I have not fired this up yet but my initial impression is that this is well built by a reputable company and with basic care and maintenance it will last for several years/decades.

I just bought this generator (Wgen9500DFC) and setting it up was a breeze. Will use it as power backup for our cottage when hydro is out. Easy to follow instructions and operating manual. We bought this generator to power some of the items in the house if at times it is needed. This generator starts up easy with either the remote, button, or pull string. It is easy to move around to wherever it is needed. Also, it can power many power hungry items without any issues.

I bought this product after Hurricane Helena came through our area and we were out of power for 5 1/2 days. It has great features, and I know it will be just what we need to keep our home up and running if and when we should be in another situation where we need it!

After reviewing a lot of products, I decided to order the Wgen9500DF. When it arrived it seemed to be sturdy and has great features just like all the reviews said. Unfortunately when I received this a week ago and it had water and rust in the fuel tank upon delivery. After calling Westinghouse about the issue all they did was take your name, phone number, and email address to have someone call you back. In which no one has even reached out in over a week. I will give Westinghouse the benefit of the doubt that covid and hurricane season has delayed the call back. Fortunately, the fuel tank has a fine mesh screen inside so none of the debris made it into the system. So after cleaning the fuel tank myself to remove all said debris, the product seems to work well. It comes with a 3 year warranty so time will tell.

This generator was extremely easy to setup using the quick start guide. Fired right up! The many features available in one generator made the 9500DF the generator I choose for my home. Looking forward to many years of keeping the power going during power outages.

I purchased this Generator as I live in Ontario and Winter storms are a certainty, and I wanted something to keep the lights on and the heating working. This generator is superbly well made. I checked all fittings when it arrived, and all were tight. The unit is made of very high quality material and feels as though it will last for decades. The control panel is comprehensive and very intuitive to use. My highest praise is for the instruction manual/user guide - they are extremely clear and easy to follow and you need no knowledge of generators to get this up and running in minutes. There is only point I would make, and it is an observation and not a criticism...the unit is shipped without the wheels and feet attached and the user must turn it onto it's side to do this. The generator is very heavy and a person not able to move a very heavy item is likely to need assistance to do this. I am so impressed with this generator that I almost want a power outage to happen so I can enjoy the peace of mind this generator has given me.
