I live in Houston & the weather here is so crazy, I lose power at least 4 to 5 times a year. It’s so hot, & I have small kids so I can’t take the chances anymore of being without power after a storm/hurricane when it’s 100 degrees outside! So happy I went with this generator! Just tested it running on propane and getting a transfer switch installed, & it powers my whole 2000 sqft home with no issues. Including running my whole A/C unit and Refrigerator. Looking forward to running it our next power outage!

I purchased a 950 k DF with out CO2 ,, sensor warning, What a well built unit for sure, After a few minor kinks I spoke to Westinghouse and within 2 days I had the replacement parts needed to make things right. Thus far I have tested this unit on both LP and gas, it's nice to be able to switch on the fly . I did note when you add the oil 1 Qt provided, when you check the oil level it's still a little low so I just add a little more until it showed in the safe zone, I also noticed in colder weather ( teens) it is difficult to start , however it will start up on LP just fine and you can switch right back to fuel if you wish. I will investigate further, The very good point about dealing with Westinghouse support thay indeed work to make things right. Myself I would not hesitate to purchase further with a Westinghouse product..Lastly if you receive a unit that has a default issue a lot of times damage is done during shipping.. After losing power for 6 days during an ice storm, I thought it was about time to buy myself some portable power. This is my first ever generator purchase and it was a breeze from the start! Easy, push start and very simple to move from gasoline to propane.

Easy Assembly. About 15 minutes to unbox, read instructions, install wheels, front rubber feet, plugin battery, pour oil in the engine, fuel up and started with one push of the button. Well built heavy generator, but with sturdy fold away handle and wheels it can be moved by one person. It runs well and is easy to operate. Runs on gasoline or propane. I have only used propane so far as there are no storage issues with it. And it burns cleaner with no dirty carb issues etc. Thanks for a great machine

Just bought the WGEN9500DF, as it was from a very reliable brand, and had the features that I was looking for. It’s large enough to power our well pump, boiler, two refrigerators, a chest freezer, and two bedrooms with windows a/c’s. It has an electric start, but the pull start was not hard at all! The instructions to put on the wheels and convert it to a floating neutral were very easy. We have it connected to a transfer station, tested it, and it works great. We’re ready for the next storm!

We have only did a test run with this generator so I don’t have long term details to leave, but let me tell you so far. Shipping company was very kind and helpful. Thankful for their efforts to make the delivery easy. The “retractable” handlebar is awesome. It’s very strudy and so helpful. We tested the dual fuel and it was seamless transition. The remote control start is absolutely awesome and works perfectly. This is going to be fantastic to have this set up for this winter. Thanks for making a great product.

I just purchased this unit and have gotten set up. Started on first push of electric start button and is very smooth running. Can’t wait to see how it works when power goes off. Did not rate higher as I have not had the opportunity to use yet during power outage.

A weather event took out the power in the area I live. The power was out for 4 days. With this generator, a power cord, and a transfer switch I had installed, my wife and I were able to be comfortable and keep up most of our daily routine. I was able to run the blower on my gas furnace, the gas water heater, the dishwasher, washing machine, TV, lights, internet, and even the coffee maker. I was careful not to run multiple high current appliances at the same time, and I didn't run the clothes dryer or microwave (although possibly I could have run the microwave). We ran the generator on propane, and found that a 40 pound propane canister allowed us to run the generator from about 6 in the morning until 8 at night, with a little left over. You get less power output with propane, but there's no carburetor issues to worry about when you put the generator away. The only negative I will mention is that the generated power is too "dirty" for the UPS I use on my computer, internet router, and some other devices. This meant I had to unplug from the UPS and plug directly in the wall. I've heard it is possible to find UPS that are more tolerant of this, but they are expensive.

I have had many different brands of generators in the past, but was very impressed at all the features, and options this unit has. I love the remote key fob start, the battery switch and it runs for a longer time on a tank of gas or propane than those I have had in the past. Great generator and the price is right.

This generator is perfect for providing power to my house during power outages and it's portability allows me use it for power while clearing my 5 acre lot. It fires up quickly every time and has enough outlets for every job I need to do. The engine is quieter than other generators I have used and the dual fuel feature is very convenient when you don't want to carry a lot of gasoline with you. It also comes with a remote control for added convenience. I would recommend this generator to anyone who needs an affordable back up power source for their home or for power at a building site.
