I love the dual fuel aspect of this generator, and it runs quieter on propane. Nice to not worry about old gas gunking it up after sitting, and more convenient to have an extra propane tank in the garage than gasoline, but nice to know that in a pinch (or Armageddon!) I’ve got fuel options. Started right up, parts and instructions were all there and as advertised. Definitely feeling more comfortable now that we can handle power outages, especially since we use well water and no electricity means no water! Very happy with the purchase so far..

It took 3 weeks to get here but everyone in California was buying a generator when i ordered the WGen9500DF generator. Just received on NOV 14, 2019. Put it together rear wheels and front legs (easy). Added oil, hooked up propane tank and it fired up with three cranks. LOVE IT !!! I live in a 37 foot fifth wheel RV so most important to me is the 50AMP plug and enough wattage in power my complete RV when the power goes out AGAIN and it will. Next is to buy a transfer switch.

We are moving into a new house with solar and will install a transfer switch to allow this unit to activate on loss of line power. With this and solar we will no longer be at the mercy of the power company. The assembly was easy and it started after using the choke. I tested it with multiple loads and could hear it change speed as it matched the load. Lovin' this generator...I think my son-in-law will be getting one now.

We purchased this generator due to multiple power outages in our area this year. We liked that it has gasoline and propane fuel options and can be switched between the two. This generator is powerful enough that we are going to have an electrician set it up to run our house in the event of another power outage. We have multiple freezers and refrigerators so this will be greatly appreciated.

I bought the Westinghouse WGen9500DF as it has great power capacity at a decent price compared to other manufacturers I researched. I was looking for a dual fuel generator as I live in Florida and prone to hurricanes and wanted a backup for portable a/c and to keep refrigerator, light, tv, running. I have not yet needed to use it but wanted to take it for a test run. I used propane and it fired up really quick with a push of the included remote control. I plugged in the portable a/c unit and it powered it with no issues. I definitely feel well prepared if we are hit with an extended power outage and I highly recommend this generator for its options and features.

Exactly what we need to run the house when the power goes out. The wheels make moving to position easy; would be too heavy otherwise. Storms have become much more extreme and loss of power is more frequent. Hired an electrician to install the breaker, transfer switch and outside power outlet.

I just finished installing my new Westinghouse Generator during which I connected to operate my entire weekend house during an outage. When the power goes out it is as simple as starting your car using the key FOB. Everything else was configured and setup during installation to make transferring to generation power very simple. Just hold down the start button until you hear it start then your power is on its way. Only Westinghouse product I have ever owned was generators. This is my second one and I couldn’t imaging buying a different brand. Westinghouse put Generac in their place!!!!LOL

This unit has been in very high demand recently. I researched many options for some home standby power. I have a bulk propane system so wanted a dual fuel unit. This fit the bill. Very stout built generator. Looking forward to many years of good service.

9500DF is a heavy, so it requires 2 people to install front feet and rear wheels. The set up and startup procedures are very straightforward, especially when using the electric start/fob. I connected the generator to my home using GenerLink device. I was able to power lights, appliances, computer related equipment, well pump, sump pump, and oil heat boiler without issue. I can power a small central air conditioning system by limiting use of other energy hogs. The 9500DF looks great, is well built, starts easily, and delivers the power. The dual fuel support adds tremendous flexibility should outages come with fuel availability challenges. I was able to buy at a promotional price further adding to the 9500DF’s already solid value proposition.

After receiving this Westinghouse 9500DF I’ve been exploring the features, which are many. Dual fuel, electric start, quick connects on the battery, remote start and stop, fuel gauge, led information and hours, metal gas tank, propane hose and regulator, basic tools, oil, and even a built in trickle charger. To keep it short I’m happy with my purchase, generator is performing as expected thus far.
