I install one of the 9500DF's at my brother's house a year ago and I helped him get it working on 3 fusels (natural gas, gasoline and propane) just a little extra work. The only thing I don't like is doing the wiring. It worked so well that I broke down and bought one for my own home.

I purchased this In July.I’m glad I received this in a timely manner.We have a lot of power outages in this rural area.Dual fuel was a must.Put it together with the help of my brother.We followed directions and it was a breeze.Love the push button start and remote.9500 watts will take care of all my needs.

I bought this last month to replace an old generator that came with the house and got the WGen9500DF. Wow. I was impressed with the features on the unit. Circuit breakers, electric and remote start, voltage output display and running time. It even has a plug to keep the battery charged. I have only run it on gas so far but will eventually hook it up to propane on site. I has to be at least half as quiet as the old unit. Its a love hate relationship. I hate to have to use it but when I need it, I love having it!

I live in upstate forest of New York where power loss is often and recovery is long. Our old GE standby generator broke down in August and we could not find a replacement tille 2021. It snows a lot and the temperature drops below freezing all winter. I found this Westinghouse backup generator and install it without any issue. The unit is well designed and it works well to provide power when we need it. It runs on dual fuel so we more choices of supply. I recommend that any one lives away from city to buy one. It may save life when needed someday.

This was a very tough generator to find during hurricane season & Covid 19. I waited several months to get it because it had features like no other generator of it's size. I especially liked the remote start,battery disconnect,auto choke and fuel efficiency. Looks great,solid machine!

I bought the WGen9500DFc due to Hurricane Beryl knocking out our power. I've owned different brand generators in the past, but never one that had a remote key fob. Not having to wear myself out by pulling on a cord to crank an engine has made all the difference in the world. After reading ask of the other reviews, and listening to people that have owned this same brand, I saw the value in purchasing such a great product.

I have been shopping for a generator for quite some time now and finally decided to purchase this one and glad I did. Hooked up propane bottle and it started right up. Ran both AC units and lights in my RV with no problem. Can't wait to try it on my home.

I bought this a few weeks ago to replace an old portable generator. It was a breeze to put together (about 5 minutes without reading the instructions). It has enough power to run my whole house including my heat pump. It is light enough to move around to different areas.

I bought this earlier in July and it has all the features and size that I was looking for. The quality seems to be there and the price was right! I think this will be the game winner during this year’s hurricane season. I would recommend this everyday and twice on Sunday!

I have an older, smaller Cxxxxxxn Dual Fuel generator that served me well for several years now, but when the deep freeze struck, I realized it couldn't handle the loads I wanted it to plus it had a short runtime. I bought it with the intention to NEVER put gasoline in it. (Once you spend a few hours cleaning the jets on a tiny carb, you will understand.) I also hadn't learned to trust my Marine Stabil for real long term storage. I now consider gasoline to be the best for winter and propane is fine for summer as long as the lower power density is acceptable. So, back to the Arctic wave in Texas....We were able to keep the well pump, jet pump, sump pump, space heater, appliances minus the range, occasional water heater and the central fans going, but couldn't get the heat pump going. At 5 degrees outside, it wasn't unbearable inside as our wood burning stove saved the day, but that was a lot of work in addition to the relatively short run time on gas or propane. Adding gasoline at 3 in the morning isn't much fun and forget a 20 lb propane tank. Hard to beat gasoline in the winter. This led me to choose the Westinghouse over all the competitors. After a couple of days off the grid, I now value energy efficiency over most anything else. My smaller unit only lasted a bit over 7 hours with a slightly larger tank. I doubt I got more than 3 hours sleep per night due to worrying the unit would die during the night and allow all my plumbing to freeze. So, my thoughts on the product after receipt. It is very well packaged with lots of thought behind the engineering decisions and layout. Of course the one goof is where the wheels mount in relation to the 50 amp plug. That is a head scratcher. The automatic choke is spot on! The only thing better would be fuel injection. My other unit was very choke temperamental when warm plus you had to reach around the unit to work the choke while cycling the electric start. This is not an issue for the Westinghouse. I suggest you always turn off the gas at the shutoff under the tank and let the unit run out of fuel. This will empty the carb, but for total protection, always use Marine Stabil. Of course, always shut off the propane first and let the unit run dry. They warn you to turn off the propane when not running the unit. I found out while testing the remote that the unit will backfire if you stop it, leave the propane on, then start it up again. Whether that unburned fuel will dissipate after a longer wait, I can't say for sure. Just beware as you don't want to damage your muffler. I wanted to show the remote start to my wife, so I walked 100' up to the house and stood inside at the double pane patio door and said, "I doubt this will work this far away", but pressed the button. Since I didn't hear anything, I shrugged and walked to the door and opened it. It had started! I had to laugh as I never expected it to work from that distance. The stop button wouldn't work quite as well, but maybe because the little coin battery was still refreshing. Other observations....it is quieter than my smaller unit. Not by a lot, but it's definitely less obtrusive. I would like to see a slightly larger button for the Voltage/Hour gauge. It is very tiny. The propane hose is plenty long and very flexible. The tank side connector may be a teensy bit wimpy/cheap and you want to be sure it get oriented straight/perpendicular before screwing it on. It tried to get wonky on me once, when I wasn't focused on it properly. The air filters are just pieces of foam, which I happen to like. I don't like buying molded filters at premium cost when they get dirty. These foam filters should be easy to clean.
