Just received my Wgen9500. It's a beautiful machine. It was delivered in only a couple weeks and arrived in perfect condition. This will give me peace of mind in keeping my well pumping and water system pressurized during our frequent power outages. A great buy for the price!

I had the WGen 7500 DF and just upgraded to the WGen9500DF, I had nothing but great luck with the 7500, reason for the upgrade is I needed the 50amp outlet plug to run my central AC which I haven't setup yet with softstart. I have 3 of the Westinghouse inverter iGen 2500 for myself and family members and have had great luck with Westinghouse products. Will update the review once I get my AC situation sorted out

I just bought this generator and the assembly was minimal with great instructions. The manual is well written and easy to understand. It started right up and ran smooth and was not as noisy as I expected. I would recommend this portable generator. The generator is well balanced for easy movability.

I was actually amazed how easy and fast the the setup was. It started up on the first try and delivered the power as expected according to the specs. My most difficult part was determining the appropriate oil amount to be added. As I further examined the manual I did see the oil tank size was 1.6 quarts and oil container provided was also 1.6 quarts. So it didn't take a rocket scientist to know the entire oil container should be used. I'm 86 yrs old and un crated the 200 lb generator myself and also attached the wheels etc. I have only used propane so far and don't know if I'll ever use gasoline. I did evaluate other generators and am glad I selected the 9500DF.

I've had the generator for about a month now, I live in Southwest Florida and my old generator wasn't powerful enough to run my whole house. I was able to set this up by myself even though it was pretty heavy. I have 3- 40lb propane tanks and a couple gas cans to run dual fuel. Very happy with how it runs!

After opening the box and seeing the paperwork that was inside, I was a little intimidated about assembling and using my generator. As I began reading the manual, I realized that the step-by-step instructions were easy to follow. In no time I had my generator assembled and running.

This is the second Westinghouse generator I have purchased. I've had the Westinghouse iGen2500 for several years that I have used for camping and outings were minimal power is needed but it also needs to be quiet. I just bought the WGen9500DF for portable home backup as I live in Florida and can lose power with hurricanes and tropical storms. Terrific generator with some really nice features. The battery charger, fold down handle and propane fuel capability along with the remote start made it easy for me to choose another Westinghouse Generator.

Arrived in excellent condition. A breeze to assemble and prep for use even for a 70++ year old to do alone. Have not used for an extended period but initial checkout went smoothly. Dual fuel feature is great since you don't have to worry about degradation of gasoline between uses/periodic checks.

I bought this a few months ago and finally unpacked, assembled (very easy) and got it running. My friend bought a Westinghouse generator a few years back and has been very happy with it so I thought it was my turn and bought one as well. This has been so far a very solid unit especially at this price point.

After doing a lot of research and comparing this with other name brand manufacturers, I landed on this. Reasonably priced, better power for the money, more features (love the remote start and auto choke) and seems really quality built! Tested only with LP gas so far as I will wait on gas fuel until it's needed during an outage. Keep carb clean, etc. As soon as it drew the LP, it fired right up. Ran it for 90 min so far on the break in. Turned it off several times to check re-starting and remote start. Fires right back up and tested the remote from 100ft away and with many walls in between...no problem! It's not quite but that's to be expected. So far I have only run (2) 300 watt work lights and (2) 1,250 watt heaters to start introducing a load for break in. Ran that 3,100 watts perfectly as one would expect. Will change oil after 5 hour break in to a synthetic 5W 30 and then give it a full load to test. Side note: if you are wanting to start with a synthetic 5W 30, it does state to first use the provided 10W 30 for break in purposes. So far, very happy with the generator and quality. Neighbor now buying the same unit.
