Bought this unit 8 days ago. Have broken in per instructions, all went as it should have no problems. Further use will give an idea of longevity, which shouldn't be a problem if it is taken care of. No problem as far as shipping damage or missing items.

I researched many portable generators, but none had features like: a quick battery disconnect, and trickle charge port to maintain the battery. Being able to run on gasoline or propane makes this machine much more reliable than most other generators. It was the only generator I found with both 30 and 50 amp receptacles to go along with 4-20 amp receptacles. The electric starter works flawlessly, and the data center provides the information to keep track of had on the generator and need for maintenance. The main reason we purchased this generator was for emergency power outings, so we installed a transfer switch to make sure our most important electric needs are met. This machine meets our needs easily.

I purchased this generator to power our house in the event of an outage. It generates plenty of wattage to run all the essentials in our house. The instructions were very clear and even explained how to remove the neutral bond (which was important since it is connected to an interlocked load center). I poured some gas in it and it fired right up. The push-button start is also a nice feature. Only thing I would recommend is to run it a few times when you first get it and immediately change the oil after. I did this and the first couple times there was some metal in the oil from the engine breaking in. After 3 times total the oil was metal-free and I felt it was ready for use.

It runs, Its a generator, its supposed to. The remote start is a nice feature that doesn't require yet ANOTHER app on my phone. Easy assembly. Bought for a storm that didn't happen, and hope I don't need to use it this winter, but good to know I have it when needed.

Received this generator a few months ago, the directions and assembly guides were easy to follow and setup was a breeze. The generator started right up in all three functions, instructions were very simple. Using propane to operate this unit is very safe and less of pain to use the fuel tank. Dual fuel operation makes it way easier to use. Had a transfer switch professionally installed on the house and connected the generator to ensure it would run essential appliances during a power outage, and it was successful. Both the house and the generator performed as expected. I feel confident that this unit will provide the power needed to keep us safe for future storms to come. I would definitely recommend this unit to all of my friends and family members . PROS:The generator performed well with no problems. Started up with little to no issues. House appliances operated efficiently with zero to no affects on the generator. Start up and assembly guides were easy to follow and setup. Overall, we are very satisfied with this purchase - CONS:Did not attempt to turn on the house HVAC system due to concerns that it may put unnecessary loads on the generator.

I bought this recently for backup when our power goes out. I compared everything out there. There was one other unit that was known as a top brand. All my comparisons left the Westinghouse as the leader, the comparisons were very close so the deciding factor since I knew it was top quality was the cost. The Westinghouse was several thousand dollars less at the same quality. Our power went out shortly after I got it, it worked beautifully. Easy to set up and use. I ran it on propane and gas, easy to switch. Flat out a quality product!

I live in an area where power outages seem to be a way of life of late. After the last run of no power, I decided it was time to invest in a generator. My goal was something powerful enough to provide comfort to the house and maintain the essentials without taking out a second mortgage for a whole home back up. After doing extensive research this was hands down the winner. Plenty of power to keep the fridge running, furnace going and keep the sump pump on. Enough power to keep computers on and routers going to allow for my family to work and play. Easy to assemble and easy to store. For its cost you will be hard pressed to find better value.

This is my second WGen Generator. First one was a 7500. I use it to run water well pumps in my cattle pasture for cows. This WGen 9500DF will be used to run my home water well and power my house during frequent outages and Hurricanes. Our power has been off for as long as two weeks and we depend on our Generators. This 9500DF has some nice features like the remote start and Duel fuel capable. I plan on using only propane as seems gas goes bad with out constant care and storage is a problem. Have 800 gallon capacity for propane and no worries on it going bad. Have just set this 9500 up and running break-in today. Will service and put some hours on it pumping water and then on to stand by for when it is needed. Thanks Westinghousefor the good products.

Bought to be used for home power outages and I used it within a week to power the house when we lost power due to a storm. We have a 50 amp interlock kit installed on our house. We have not used it very long, we generally get power restored within 6-12 hours. But it works great so far.

The fit and finish of this generator is really impressive for the price! All controls are easy to use, well thought out and of good quality. You get a lot of nice features for a good price. Just look up best generators and almost all review sites have this generator on their list. You won't be disappointed
