We live in New England with sever winters and routine power outages. We had a freeze up last year costing us thousands to repair. Purchased this generator with the smart start as a replacement to hook up to our heating system. Also the lpg capability is a plus for sure starts eliminating no starts due to bad gas and frozen gas lines.

We received our Dual Fuel 9500 in early April. Started it up, ran it through it's paces on both gas and propane. Everything worked fine. Ran the carburetor out of gas, and put it away. About a week later, the power went out at 3am. Went out, plugged the generator into the house and turned it on. It ran for 6.5 hours with no problems. The power came back on around 10:30am. I unplugged the generator from the house, ran the carburetor out of gas and put it back in storage. I am very please with it's performance during this first outage. I have worked on generators and I am very please with this product.

Have not had the need to use it yet but seems to be a nice product. Like the ability to run different fuels if needed. Packaging was less then perfect, frame had a couple bent rails when unpacked. Could not see any damage from outside the box so have to assume was damaged before shipping.

This thing is a beast. It starts easily and powers just about everything in a 1400 sq ft home. The instruction manual and maintenance schedule are both very informative and easy to read. Money well spent for a peace of mind in hurricane season in Florida!

I PURCHASED THIS TWO MONTHS AGO FROM A PRIVATE SELLER.IT COMPARED VERY FAVORABLY WITH ALL EQUIVALENT DUAL FUEL GENERATORS. I WAS PARTICULARLY IMPRESSED WITH THE REMOTE START, THE CONSTRUCTION/QUALITY OF THE PRODUCT AND THE DUAL FUEL CAPABILITY, ADDED TO THE VERY EXPLICIT DESCRIPTION OF THIS PRODUCT. THE INCLUDED TOOLS ETC. ARE AN ADDED BONUS. THE INSTRUCTION MANUAL IS EXTREMELY CLEARLY DETAILED AND EASY TO FOLLOW. I'LL ADD MORE ONCE I HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO USE IT A FEW TIMES.

I bought this generator for use on stormy days when the power goes out, living in East Texas this happens a few times per year for up to a day. So having a home generator to supplement is very helpful. great unit start up every time and lasts long when on gasoline.

Purchased in preparation for Hurricane Ida. It took 10 minutes to set it up and have it running. It's more than enough to power our ~2100 sq ft home with central A/C. We evacuated for the storm and luckily we had power restored when we returned; however, I'm kind of excited for the next power outage...

I purchased this generator a month ago. Assembled it, put oil in, put gas in and charged the battery. But, the unit will not start. I’ve tried the electric start and manual start to no avail. I even took my unit’s battery overt to Auto Zone to test that it’s holding a charge and it seem fine. I’ll keep working with Westinghouse to resolve the issue but hurricane season is here and I need this to work!

We finally had to use our generator a few days ago, because of a prolonged power outage. It was more than satisfactory, generating the power required to keep our most important appliances running and helping to preserve hundreds of dollars of frozen goods.

So far so good. Easy to assemble but helps to have two people to install wheels because you have to tilt on side and then flip it over to other side. Runs well and nice to have remote. Waiting to get home hook up so only tried regular receptacle but well built.
