I bought this generator last week because I didn’t want to go three another week without power if a stairs comes trough. Set up was easy and on time. The generator isn’t that loud and it’s great because you don’t have to store gas in it sines it’s duel fuel. I’m happy with my purchase!

I bought this generator to power my home in the event of a power outage. With 9500 running watts on gas and 8500 running watts on propane it will give me some flexibility in case I run out of gas. I intend to use the generator to power my circuit breaker panels directly using an interlock system so I can have the option to power anything in the house. So far, I have only run the generator for 15 to 20 minutes for initial start up out of the box, and have only tested it on a few household items. Only put about 1500-2000 Watts of load on it so far for the test, but it ran and provided power with no issues. I tested most of the features: push button start, remote start, and switched between gas and and propane. Everything worked without issue. One thing to note on initial startup was using the push button start will automatically start the generator, but it may take a few attempts. I had to push the button twice before it started. This was most likely just due to gas having to go through the fuel lines to the carburetor for the first time. Every time after initial startup, it would start right up with no issues. The generator also comes with a charger for the battery which plugs directly into the front of the generator. This is a great feature especially if the generator is sitting for a while in the cold. Being able to put the battery on a trickle charge will ensure it will start up when you need it. Unfortunately, I was unable to connect the generator to my house and test it yet since I still need to alter my electrical panel to make this happen. So far this generator meets my needs and I recommend it for anyone looking for emergency home power.

Purchase this item for this upcoming hurricane season, always have to stay prepared in Texas! Honestly I couldn’t have made a better purchase! Delivery was fast and they were able to place it in my garage. I would definitely recommend this product to family and friends.

I received this product yesterday. The home delivery was very convenient. Unpacking and minor wheel kit assembly was a breeze. Initial startup (propane) was easy with the generator starting right away. Really like the battery charging port and included charger!

Overall have been pleased with this unit’s features, but as the title states the battery has discharged completely twice in one month ( have owned 1 month) this renders the remote start useless. Either the internal charger isn’t doing its job properly or the battery is a bad one. Is it a deal killer? No, but the remote was one of the main considerations in buying this model. Having to charge the battery on a unit this new is ridiculous though. If this issue hadn’t been happening, would give 5 stars.

Since I am mechanically challenged, I was concerned about the setup for this generator. It could not have been easier. I followed the directions and it started right up using propane fuel and I ran the generator for about 30 minutes. I bought it in case of power outages and to replace an old generator that was difficult to operate by comparison. Not hoping for a power outage but feel confident this will do the job if there is one.

I have looked at 20 different dual fuel generators in this power range for backup power. Remote start and 3 year warranty were the final decision factors. Will be propane powered only, so not expecting the normal gas/carb issues. We are on a well so when no power, no water. Will update the review in 6 months.

Bought it as a backup generator so I haven't used it yet other than testing it. I am a tech for a propane company and have seen a lot of propane engines. We use them for compressors. This is the easiest starting, smoothest running propane engine I have used yet other than a larger permanent gens. The only negative thing I can say is that the propane hose is short and that the regulator was set at 17.2 inches water column. Normally 14 inches is a max. This unit is also louder than I expected but not terrible.

This unit has a great wattage availability for the cost along with a long run time,dual fuel, wireless starting, push button and pull rope starting options. During my comparison search the Westhouse units were consistently at the top of the ratings. With a three year warranty, excellent manual with all the contact information need in case of an issues. I purchased to partially backup my house,mostly freezers. But done properly it can run most everything in the house. It is not a whole house unit but is very capable when the proper use and wattage/ amps is used correctly. Well packaged condense unit. Hope to have many years of useful use from the unit.

Seems to be a strong well built unit. Solid with clean edges, clean welds, no scratches. Overall a great looking unit. Runs well. Starts remote or push button. I bought this because I am getting older and in Florida it is only when, not if we get another hurricane. This should start easier and run most of the house including AC. That alone is worth the cost of up sizing to this generator. It was a great price really for what it says it can do. I hope it performs as well during the next storm as it appears to now.
