I've never purchased a watermelon with a strong camphor smell on the outside. I noticed once home when my hands had that smell. On investigation it was the seedless watermelon. I don't know if they all are like that or this is someone's idea of a joke. You need to check them just in case it's toxic.

Bought this watermelon at the Sam's Club in Keller, Tx on July 2, 2025. I cut it open on July 4, 2025 for the holiday......the texture of the meat was mushy and did not taste very good. I do not know......I have never bought a seedless watermelon and after this experience I probably will not buy one (from Sam's?) again.

I bought these 2 days prior to using them. They were kept in a cool area. When I cut into them, they had a bad smell and tasted horrible. The second one, when I cut into it, it started squirting and bubbling and also smelt and tasted bad. Would not recommend this product at all.

I purchased a watermellon on Tuesday evening, April 28, 2025. I got it home and cut it to find the most terrible tasting mellon fruit ever. Apparently, the growers used copipus ammount of nitrate fertilizer, in a hot house. The meat of the mellon is wreaking with the taste of fertilizer. I recommemt for others to not purchase one at Sams Club until watwrmelloms are well in season.

I was told by a lady not recommending me watermelon from sams , I didn't listen to her so I took mine 2 days after I cut it in half, it wasn't sweet, it was nasty from the middle part like a worm beat me to the sweetness of the heart of the watermelon its was so gross I had to throw it all out there was my $ 8.00. I will never get watermelon from there again.

Bought a watermelon yesterday. We cut it open today it smelt funny and had a weird texture ! This is our second time purchasing watermelon. The first time it had zero flavor. We gave it another shot thinking maybe a couple weeks ago was just a bad batch. We will not purchase a watermelon from here again.

Each seedless watermelon I have purchased in the last season, as well as this season, has been "waterless," tough, and chewy. Don't get me wrong, they are red inside and the flavor has been sweet tasting, but can be deceiving when one goes to bite into a piece. They haven't been under-ripe or over-ripe (mushy/grainy), they just taste tough.

I purchased a "seedless" watermelon from Sam's over the July 4th weekend. Not only was the melon full of seeds - I'm not talking a few stray seeds you can find in a seedless melon from time to time - this was a fully SEEDED watermelon. The flesh was pale pink and the rind over 1" thick. If Sam's were closer to my home, I would have put the whole mess in a plastic garbage bag and returned it. It would cost more in gas than what I would get in credit. VERY disappointed. I won't buy another one.

While in the store shopping,there was a plethora of watermelon on display. From front of store boxes, to freezer aisle, to prodice area... watermelons galore. I couldnt resist the subliminal messaging. However, when I leaned over to grab one, the outer shell was squishy. Odd... but I thought I could grab a good one in the pile. I find a well sun spotted,solid watermelon to enjoy,purchase and bring it home. Why did I return from an evening meeting to a smelly, sticky, dripping watermelon explosion on my kitchen counter? I quickly researched why this would happen. My house is the temperature of an icebox in this heatwave and I didnt notice any punctures. The watermelon was bad. Ugh, the smell. The skin bursted to reveal a pale and slimy interior. Do not purchase!

I bought a watermelon last week. Thought it was good but got it home, cut it open and it was a hot mess! Paid $6 or more dollars for it and it was not even ripe! Had to throw it out. Wasn't making another 70 mile round trip to take it back to Sam's. Just might as well have thrown the money out the window on the way home! Shouldn't have to lose that much money on a purchase!
