Quiet, Great run Time, Good Power

I was looking for a quiet generator for my RV that was able to safely run my electronic devices. This fit the bill. The run time is excellant for the size of the generator and it is very quiet. No shortage of power either. I was able to run a 15,000 btu air conditioner and all of the RV electronics to include a residential refrigerater and convection microwave without any problem. I am definitely happy with my purchase so far.

Starting Up with No Problem

After a lot of research I decided to go with the iGen 4500. After receiving my generator , I did the break-in. Two oil changes with no load and one oil change after 25% load (that's with the A/C(13500w), TV, Radio, Refridge, and all lights running on my camper) turning on the microwave it would go to 75% load. Gotta say no issues, except for overfilling oil and having to clean up that mess. It has started with ease with all 3 methods. Since it's my 1st generator, I'm hoping for many many years.

Stopped working after second use

The iGen4500 was delivered on June 9th and was only used a couple of times and has already stopped working. The unit cranks but does not start. I've read a few reviews about a bad choke system but the choke does seem to be working. I am also disappointed that the unit was manufactured in early 2019.

Extremely quiet, more quiet than a Honda

Contrary to some beliefs there is nothing wrong with this generator. Received it 26 June 2021 added oil and gas on the 27th it started right up and purred like a kitten very quiet even when not on Econ mode. Nothing wrong with the electric choke like others have said. Only thing that ticked me off was the side panel on the side where you check the oil received a crack on shipping. Westinghouse shipped me a new one the very next day after i reported it to them. The only issue will be removing the handle bolt holding the side cover on it is extremely tight used an impact and it still will not come loose i told Westinghouse someone tightened it too tight at the factory. This generator is unbelievable quiet have to hear to believe. I tested it with an electric drill on Econ mode no problem also a 500 watt work light the engine did not even speed up and the percentage meter did not even move. It should pull a 15,000 BTU RV air conditioner no problem.

Good Generator so far but came filled with oil

I bought this to use for emergencies. It runs pretty quiet and has enough power to run my essentials in an emergency situation. The only complaint that i have so far is that when i unboxed the generator it already had oil in it. As soon as i started pouring the provided oil into the reservoir, it started a spill in my garage. manual clearly states that the generator was supposed to come empty (hence the reason they provide oil). Also, the oil cap fits awkwardly on the generator. Had it not been for those issues, i would give it 5 stars

One of the best

Easily one of the best generators on the market. Super quiet, powerful, and efficient. And you can buy 2 of these for the price of a lesser optioned eu3000i. The remote start and auto choke make starting it up in the morning as easy as pushing a button from the warmth of your bed.

Great features and love the digital display

Love how quite the gen set is and how easy to setup, added fuel and oil when I received the unit and it fired right up, would have given 5 stars but only gave 4 because a card come with the generator that said they would give a free generator cover if I left a review but the web address, they give you to go to does not work. So no free cover

Easy set up

Originally bought the Generac iq3500 the unit was heavier with no wheels. Not very portable, 2 people needed just to move position. Sent it back and bought this. Nice portable generator with more power, wheels and extending handle. Starts first time using electric starter. Test run over the weekend worked great!

Pleasantly suprised!

My review of the iGEN4500 is based on owning a Westinghouse WH2400i prior to this purchase. The iGEN4500 is roughly twice the size physically and in power. The iGEN4500 has more bells and whistles; electric and remote start, larger fuel tank, stronger engine, and carrying handle. Unfortunately, the iGEN4500 did not improve on the oil filler location. It is still troublesome to fill and not get oil inside the compartment. Access the internal on the iGEN4500 is better than the WH2400i. All is necessary is to unscrew some screws and you are in. I'm torn on gas consumption, though. I could get 14 hours on 1.4 gallons of gas with the WH2400i, but I get 22 hours on 3.4 gallons of gas with the iGEN4500. I really wanted the electric start so I was willing to accept the higher gas usage of the iGEN4500, or at least I think I do. Now, the most recognizable difference has been in sound (loudness). I believe both the iGEN4500 and WH2400i have the same decibel rating but to my ears the iGEN4500 is noticeably quieter. I really despise companies marketing generators as quiet and/or super quiet. It has to be as stupidest as calling power banks solar generators. Generators are not quiet, but I will say the iGEN4500 , compared to the WH2400i completely took me by surprise. In my book, there are two wins in the iGEN4500 column, electric start and less generator noise. Just like the WH2400i, I do not plan to put many hours on the unit. It will only see occasional use. But it is nice to know I can move the unit easily outdoor, run an extension cord to wherever my load is, go back indoors, and use the remote start key fob. It will be equally nice to barely hear the generator running from indoors. I hope this guy will give me troublefree operation just as the WH2400i during it reign.

Great machine

I bought this generator to be prepared for hurricane season and it seems to be the right choice . It was not as expensive as other top of the line generators but delivers as many features and power if not more. It is quiet and smooth. I ran an industrial fan, an air compressor, an electric blower, two small battery chargers, and another medium sized fan to test its capacity and still didn't exceed its ability to deliver. I would give it five stars but it arrived without the plastic oil cover piece and the battery was not charged. So I used the hand recoil and it started on the 2nd pull.
