This generator is fantastic. Fairly light and maneuverable for what it is. VERY quiet, even under full load. Decently fuel efficient too. And remote start! My only complaints are that the 2 access covers come off pretty easy, and that I had to correct the one big known factory flaw- the automatic choke was not plugged in from the factory. It's an easy fix, but takes a few minutes to remove the side access panels to get to it. After that, it ran perfect!

So far so good. Its very quiet. Gassed up and it fired right up with no issues. The key fob is a great addition. Couple of non deal breakers are i wish the voltage menu would start with a V however it is a U. The remaining runtime estimate is under F. Little confusing on the alphabet they use. Also the fuel level is listed in liters instead of gallons. I feel like this generator will meet my needs.

I purchased the iGen 4500 for camping and the ocassional home power outage. I'm impressed with how quiet it runs compared to my old generator and the retractable handle, which helps to move it around. Depending on where you live or camp, you'll need to contact Westinghouse to purchase the high altitude kit. If you live or camp at an elevation of 2000 ft and lower, you don't need to swap out the jet. But at any elevation higher than 2000 ft, you will need the high altitude kit for proper fuel-air mixture. Westing house responded to my email in just hours, and I was able to order and receive the kit within a few days. Westinghouse has a simple tutorial video on their sight with step-by-step instructions on how to swap out the carburetor jet that corresponds to your altitude. My auto mechanic told me he swaps them out frequently for many different brands, but it's not difficult to do it yourself to save money. He was right, I watched the video and swapped it out myself. A quick note if you swap jet out yourself, I placed the hardware in plastic sandwich bags then labeld each step. It made it easier when reassembling. I've been pleased with my purchase. It's a nice little generator.

The generator has wheels and a collapsible handle which makes it portable. It comes with the oil needed (0.6 liter) and a small tool kit and a battery charger. The power outlets are 120 volt 20 amp and a 120 volt 30 amp for an RV. The remote start is nice, and it can be stared by pushbutton on the control panel, also has a pull rope for manual starting. The oil fill/ drain, air filter, and spark plug are all accessed by lift off covers on the sides. This generator is very quiet, even at 50percent load.

Fired right up and hasn't skipped a beat. The remote option is a nice add for when its raining and just don't wanna go out and touch it. Runs my 15000btu a/c with no problem and is decently quite. Would recommend for a well priced inverter generator.

While price checking the 4500 I happened upon a flash sale from Walmart, it was priced at $700 so I bought one. Five minutes later the price was back to $879. The generator arrived with no shipping damage but the battery strap was broken, no big deal. Everything works as it should. I've been breaking it in at various RPMs and will be doing the first oil change soon. The location of the drain plug makes it a difficult job but it's do able. Go to You Tube for suggestions and solutions. Holding back one star because of the battery strap and inconvenient oil change situation.

So Far So Good!!! Light weight and quiet. We will be using it on our first trip this weekend to the NorCal coast in our new travel trailer. I ran it for 8 hours at home without a hiccup so I'm looking forward to using it camping. This is my second Westinghouse purchase in the last year and I am very pleased with both the whole-house generator(7500 running watts) and the inverter generator!!! Will return to this brand over the other leading brands if they hold up over time!!! Thanks Walmart for carrying Westinghouse and delivering to my front door without any issues!!!

Have only used it for a few hours so far but it works great. Only issue I have is it lags in catching up with load increases. I use it with an RV and when the AC comes on, it takes long enough to catch up to the load increase that the voltage drop causes some electronics to turn off.

The unit failed at 4 hours of run-time, it went into overload mode and shut down completely, with no status screen function. The specs looked great, and initial use seemed to work well, but upon actual use, it was a big disappointment. The customer service was very helpful, and it was quite a pain to drain all the fluids so I could return it to the store.

I bought this unit a few months ago, did a proper break in, and had it charging ready for when it was needed. When it was needed it would not stay running, it would rev up and quit. I submitted warranty claim and it has been sitting in a shop for 3 weeks. I needed it for camp in 2 weeks, now I am looking to either buy another inverter or cancel a family trip. Not a great start.
