So far I’m extremely satisfied with the design and a lot of the bells and whistles like covered buttons, for moisture resistance. Huge plus: Can charge the battery with a common connector from the front panel!! Also, it comes with a multi-digital display for more than just hours ran! All in all, I couldn’t be much happier since this is as modern with features as they come. Plus, they give your a wireless remote for start, an oil change funnel, and a charger!

So far I am loving the iGen5000. Only had it a couple of days now, but it seems to work great. I have 2 other Westinghouse generators that have been very good. I have the iGen2500 and a WH3700ixLTc. I have had those 2 generators for several years and they have always worked great. The feature I like the most on the iGen5000 is the electric start. No more having to pull a start rope!!

WELL I PURCHASED 2 MONTHS AGO...WORKED GREAT ESPECIALLY THE REMOTE START...JUST ALL OF A SUDDEN IT STARTED LEAKING GAS FROM EVERYWHERE ON SIDE OF ENGINE

This is my second igen to add to my other. Easy starting, quiet, and love the feature of parallel power cord. Clean sine wave,safe power for delicate electrical circuits in home. Excellent fuel efficiency!! Something you don't use every month but when power is out, this is what you need For peace of mind!

Purchased after the March, 2015 ice storm. Borrowed my brothers Honda 2000 during that time. The iGen 5000 is as quiet as the Honda. However, the larger tank and front panel display and the higher output make this a much better unit. It starts right up and is ready to go right away. I am able to provide recharging to my two power stations at one time vice only one at a time. The wheels and handle make it very easy to relocate the unit. This will make any future power outages much easier to handle. Very nice unit for the price.

Bought for husband to use for hunting. Added oil and gas, pushed the start button and it started up with no issues. I can’t believe we waited so long to buy one. Husband is excited to start using it. It will run everything in our camper with no problems.

Bought this unit to replace a four year-old I 4500. That unit has been good except that the super frequent oil changes are a real nuisance. We use this to power our off grid cabin. Oil changes are required every 4 to 7 days, depending on our use. Otherwise, it’s been a good generator. Hope this one does as well or better.

Purchased this to use with my horse trailer. Runs everything great! Its quiet and does not disturb anyone around me. Love the attached handle, makes it so much easier to move. The remote start is wonderful, no more having to go outside to start it. Would definitively purchase again!

I bought this generator after a high winds storm knocked out power all over the western half of my state. My area was without power for three days. The next power outage gave came a month later and gave me the opportunity to try out the generator. It was quick and easy to hook up to my propane tank. It started up in a couple seconds and ran consistently and relatively quietly for three hours until my power was restored. I ran two refrigerators, two computers, four monitors, and a modem with mesh system with no problem. I would recommend this generator to anyone that can move its relatively heavy load to a spot where it can be run. The smaller model may be enough for some, and it is considerably smaller and I would imagine a good bit lighter. I advise to buy only what you absolutely need, since storage space is also a consideration.

This generator is so easy to set up and is a fuel sipper! That is one of the reasons I purchased it. I will be using this for my home for backup power for the furnace,a few lights,fridge,hotplate,cpap machine and tv/internet. It has a built in telescoping handle for ease of transporting. I also purchased the generator running cover so it will be ready to perform no matter what the weather is doing.
