I’ve had two of these deck boxes in the past and the hardware was so much easier to install on them. I didn’t need any special tools and the screws fit without needing socket wrenches. I’m not the greatest with assembly but the previous deck boxes were extremely easy. Other than that, I’m very happy with the purchase.

The item arrived quickly. It assembled easily in about 35 minutes. Everything fit together and the picture based directions are excellent. It is large enough to hold our four outdoor folding chairs and all the cushions from the deck furniture. And, there is room to spare. It poured rain here yesterday and everything in the deck box was completely dry. I highly recommend this product. Besides, my wife loves it!

I recently noticed worn parts on my Lifetime box. I took a few pictures and wrote to ask about how to order replacement parts and received an email back showing the order date for the various parts. I was pleasantly surprised to say the least. Response times were very reasonable as well.

Good storage box for stuff that I don't want in the house (I don't have a shed or garage) A couple tips for easy assembly: 1.) A level surface is critical to attach front and rear panels to the base assembly ( I had to use wooden shims to lift sections of the base) 2.) Leftover plastic in holes for the gas spring brackets needs to be removed before inserting bolts (I used a reamer tool from my toolbox)

We now own 4 of these storage boxes. We bought 2 in 2017 & they've been outside in the Florida sun & salt air & hurricanes 24/7 since. No surprise that recently, because of my failure to provide regular WD40 maintenance on the boxes metal components (Struts/screws/hinges), the elements won the corrosion battle. We purchased 2 more boxes for replacement (they look good, are capacious &, despite our failure to maintain them, are extremely resistant to harsh weather conditions. In fact, the exteriors look as good as they did on day one. On a lark, we contacted the customer service folks at Lifetime & asked them if replacement parts (Hinges/struts) were available to purchase. They responded by sending out new replacement parts, at no charge, to us. This enabled us to salvage the existing boxes to a like new condition. We highly recommend this product.

The box is what I expected. Assembly was a little more complicated than expected and I am experienced at assembling projects. First, the holes in the floor had been cut, but there was plastic residue (complete tabs)in the holes. I could not insert the front and rear pieces until I cut the residue out with a razor knife. Second issue was the with the hinge-piston assembly. The design of the top has little room for using a screw driver let alone a drill as some videos show. This causes the screws to go in at a slight angle and caused some concerns when I could see ridges appear in the plastic (weakening the plastic wall) as I was putting the screws into the plastic. The real concern was that the plastic would buckle and hinge-piston assembly would not work properly. It has only been a week since I assembled it and I still have some concerns on the plastic wall buckling with usage and am exploring options to strengthen the plastic.

Took me about an hour to assemble. Went together great. Two people recommended. I recommend using a combination of the video instructions and the printed manual. I found both to be inadequate on their own, but in combination you can make sense of each step. Only two negatives I see at this point. Couldn't tighten screws as much as I wanted because the plastic doesn't have enough integrity to allow them to be torqued down much at all. Other thing is the lid. It doesn't snap down very much at all, so it is not a tight seal. That being said, the way the lip is designed I think it would be difficult for water to get inside even in very hard rain. But, I still wish the lid was more snug to help keep any moisture out. My thoughts are this is not going to keep the contents 100% dry. I believe residual moisture is going to get in, but not direct rain and hopefully no puddling inside. We'll see.

Even after having the product for a year before opening as well as not purchasing the product from the manufacture it was quick and painless to get some parts that were missing from the box. They did not have to do that however they did it as a courtesy without cost now that’s service!

Difficult to put together. Plastic tabs were mis-molded and need to be trimmed to get pieces to fit. And, as of today, we still haven't been able to get the last two bolts attached because the holes don't match up. These were not the only holes that didn't match, but the others could be forced to line up. Also, using the hand tools that are suggested would be torture, especially for someone who isn't accustomed to putting things together. Fortunately, we have the power tools necessary to do the job. You will, however, definitely need the mallet. I watched the youtube video and it is NOT as easy as they make it look. Maybe if there weren't mis-molded pieces and if the screw/bolts holes lined up it would have been better. Too much of a pain to return so we will figure out a way to get those last two bolts attached. The unit itself appears to work for what we need.

I am very happy with this product it will store a variety of things..you will need a ratchet and socket set,open end wrenches and a Philips screw driver ...the directions are just pictures they could be clearer but I got it assembled in about 45 mins...its also very sturdy.. if your looking for a deck box this is it...shipping was fast
