This is my fourth identical 130 Gal deck box in 5 years. The first two are still out on the deck totally exposed to the elements. We get ridiculous winds (we tie the boxes to the railing or they blow across the deck fully loaded) and rains and raging sun. The inside stays mostly dry. The color does not fade. The plastic does not become brittle. The lid does not warp. Simply amazing product the works and lasts. The only thing I have done special to mine is put two 4" plastic soffit vents in the back. Drill 4" hole and silicone them in place. This allows a little extra ventilation and if anything does go in damp, the moisture can evaporate and exit without becoming mold. You would be hard pressed to determine which of my four are the original two. When assembling, a few heads up, watch the pictures. There is a typo in the labels (BKV vs BKW) at one point so just compare pictures and items carefully. Putting the sides, front and back on are the most problematic, just turn it over and be sure all tabs are fully in EACH slot and slide into the lock position. When screwing in screws, FIRM, not tight, it will just strip the plastic. I think Lifetime would be well to mould solid plastic plugs where screws go. But the screws just stop lateral movement so even if you strip it a bit, not issue. After your first one, assembly is easy. LOL.

Great box for storing so much! Very strong, sturdy, seals very well! Lid holds open very good on its own while filling box. Very easy to install. Size is well worth the price! Very strong made material. Im looking to buying another one! Very satisfied with this product!

Easy to put together looks good when you're finished with it the top fits snug so it will not leak easy to open even a neighbor came over to watch me put it together and said when he saw the finished product where can I get me one I will be using this outside on my porch it seems weather proofed and will do the job I bought it for

The only reason I gave it four stars and not five is because our lid has a large defect in it. Of course the last part to put on so we weren't returning it. Besides that, mid to easy to put together. Would recommend-just lay out all your pieces and check them before putting together.

I have 6 of these bins. Some as old as 15 years and some about a year old. You can't tell them apart. They are perfect for garden apartments, homes with no garage or attic space, and for community gardens.

I purchased this item after doing extensive research and reading many reviews. It had many of the features that I was searching for. I am quite handy and this was one of the hardest things that I have put together. Most of the holes did not line up and the pieces did not fit together as they should have had they been manufactured precisely. Through much frustration I got this to work for the most part...NOT easy in the least!! The cover does not fit properly due to the way the pieces of this storage box was manufactured. I contacted the manufacturer to let them know of my experience and the issues with this product. Their response is that pieces may have been warped. Really?? No kidding. Why would a reputable company send out a product if this were the case. Clearly warping is visible to the eye. What was I supposed to do since I had already put the box together as well as possible under these circumstances?? Needless to say I am still angry and frustrated over this. The box itself has some good qualities which is why I chose this one in the first place.

Nice product and reasonably easy build. Unfortunately, it is not well packaged. The panels are basically stacked in a cardboard box with no padding or corner protection. I received my deck box with 3 of the panels having crushed corners. It made it more difficult to fit the panels together, and is not cosmetically pleasing. Probably should have returned it, but it’s just not worth the trouble. Other than the cosmetic flaws due to poor packaging, it’s great.

Extremely difficult to setup with horrible nuts and bolts as the sizes don't work for the box. Has so many good reviews but was the worst product ever to assemble and needs at least 2 strong people to do it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] One of the most difficult build processes I've ever gone through and I've built quite a few things. Several of the holes didn't fit the screws or line up properly. I'm otherwise happy with the finished product.

I just purchased 2 of these for my long distance move for outdoor items, I had to drill holes for the security bar and few of the large parts were warped and very hard to line up correctly, will not purchase again
