I spoke with neighbors and looked at their boxes, all of which are only rated 1-3 Stars on various sites. I found a few sites that actually sold and had Customer Reviews for the Lifetime Deck Box, virtually all of which are 5 Stars. Based upon the 5-Star Reviews and product photos, I decided to order the Lifetime Deck Box. There is none that can match the quality and price of this box. Now my neighbors are considering replacing their "Brand Names" with one that is virtually unknown and will eventually be "The Paradigm" of deck boxes. Thank you for a truly quality product. I have owned the Lifetime 130 gallon storage box for several years. If you saw it today, you would think it is brand new. This product can take a beating in the heat or cold and perform perfectly every time. My favorite part is the gas assist pistons that hold up the lid and keep it from falling down on my head or hands. A close second favorite feature is a place to lock the lid. I store pesticides, fertilizers and garden tools in this storage box and use a padlock for extra safety and peace of mind. Since the lid can handle up to 900 pounds of weight on it, I don't have to worry if I stand, sit or keep things on the top. Strong, safe, versatile and good looking - definitely worth the price!

I just put it together. Beautifully designed and built. Attractive addition to our deck. I wish it was an inch taller as it is a bit tight on the inside, at last for the cushions we have. 140 gallon? My only suggestion are the assembly instructions. They should be more clearly written. Had to redo a couple of steps. One final thoufght: Good to see a great product made in the USA!

I bought mine 9/2011 at[...]. It was a pain in the butt to put together by myself (wife was busy) and even though I followed instructions to the T it seems out of square and lid never easily closed and laid flat. It did keep water out (stored extra propane tank for grill as well as seat cushions) until some "varmits" started chewing on it to get in to get the bird seed my wife kept in it. Now I need a lid and front panel. Not sure if those parts are available or if I have to just buy a new one. I would recommend this to anyone needing outside storage. Just don't keep food or anything that will attract raccoons, squirrels, opossums, etc, as they have sharp teeth.

We own 2 of these boxes and I just ordered our 3rd. They are perfect for storing tools and gear for our pool, as well as misc. outdoor equipment. Our existing units have stood up extremely well to the harsh Texas summers. Access in and out is easy and the neutral color allows the boxes to blend-in to our yard without looking like eye sores.

So far it has been perfect. I bought in in late April. It sits on the South side of our house, under our patio roof so it is not directly exposed. I read a customers previous review that he siliconed his to help with water sneaking in the joints, so I did the same. I used clear silicone on the inside side joints. It is very sturdy and nice quality. I am very happy with it. It is large enough to store 4 large/deep chair cushions (2 seats and 2 backs) with extra room to spare! I put all patio items inside during our harsh ND winters.

We received this to replace a Rubbermaid one we had purchased through Sam's Club. The Rubbermaid one was of terrible construction and the top lid would fall down on your head easily. I saw this one and it looked better made so we ended up with two of them. The first one took a lot longer than expected as it was hard to screw in all the parts, but it is well made. The second box which we put together several weeks later went together much easier. Overall since they are outside and contain chair cushions, I have not had any leaks but it still shifts meaning the lid is off which if you put a lock on it should cure that. I haven't gotten around to it yet but plan to prior to the winter.

I just picked up two of these storage boxes yesterday and put them together today, ( 1-05-2020). I was going to get the instruction manual and review it at work but the only box I opened did not have one. No problem, easy enough to print off from the Lifetime website. It was actually easy to put together, it was recommended to use two people but my wife was at work and I did it myself. The first one took about an hour as I went slow and kept refering to the pictures. The manual was right on target so don't skip over any pages as tempting as it will be, and your box will come out perfect. I put our chair cushions in one box, it held six chair cushions and a three person swing cushions. Still some room left. Anyway, very happy with this product so far and looking forward to many years service.

the lid was a complete nuisance to work with the screws were hard to line up and some of the holes were to small, we needed to poke them out with a screw driver, then I found out it is not water proof, so I guess I'll be bailing it out if a hurricane pops through where I live I'm keeping it because it would be a worse nuisance to take it apart and send it back...smart on the manufacturers part

Bought this outdoor storage deck box to store all my pool equipment and kiddy pool toys. I thought it was very attractive and just what I needed. With a year or so after my purchase the hinges all rusted along with and cover supports which all rusted and stained my pavers and is a real eye sore. If you plan on using it in Southwest Florida think twice as I am in the process of throwing mine into the garbage.
