After a rain, water seems to cling to the underside of the lid; when you open the lid, that water falls onto the contents (Not good). If the outside dimensions were the inside dimensions, it would have fit my larger cushions better. I'm keeping it because It's a good-looking box and appears to be well made.

This storage box looks great on the deck! It holds alot of stuff too. It was easy to put together and I like the fact that the lid will not slam down on you. We have had alot of rain lately so I looked inside and everything was dry. It was worth the money.

Reviews of lesser priced storage boxes indicated a problem with the hinges pulling out of the plastic, only time will tell with this product. Kept the rain out during the first small shower, will reserve judgment until after a heavy downpour. DIY to put together I put at a 3.5/5, takes some skill; there is a video which helped more than the paper instructions. Would recommend; hopefully my optimism will hold up a couple of months from now.

This box was easily put together by one person in about 30 minutes. Be careful when putting in the screws or you will strip them out. Don’t overtighten them. It’s plastic reinforced with fiberglass so it had some scratches on the edges and the top. I can see the fiberglass on the edges of the top and it was a little warped on one side so the top wasn’t going all the way down on one side. Other than these issues it looks like a sturdy box and the color worked for us. I will try to get the manufacturer to replace the top!

We purchased this product and assembling it was ridiculously difficult! We had to grease the parts and use a rubber hammer to get them to slide together. It took two of us and was still awkward and difficult. Screws did not line up well and no tools were included to help with assembly. I would have paid extra to have the two different sized wrenches needed, included. It would have been best to have the same size screws and one size tool, included.

I bought this box to replace a smaller deck box (different manufacturer) that finally succumbed to years of sunlight - the top got brittle, cracked, and appeared ready to start leaking. The Lifetime box is a much better design as far as ease of assembly. I put it together by myself on a moderately windy day. Based on my experience I have three suggestions. First, in addition to reading the instructions, watch the assembly videos. Second, be sure to remove any plastic from the holes the bolts for the hinges go through before you try to install the top. Trying to hold the top in place with one hand while clearing the bolt holes with the other hand is a losing proposition. Third, spray the slots in the bottom with silicone lubricant before attaching the front and back panels. This will make it easier to slide those panels to lock them in place. And, as with any plastic product, it helps to have a drill handy in case any screw holes are missing. Overall I am well pleased with the quality of this deck box. Time will tell how well it stands up to the elements.

I have had this deck box for several years now, guessing about 8. It has always been outside on my deck on the south side of the house in direct sunlight. It has stored my kids toys and equipment and kept them dry and well protected. It has also served as extra seating when company is over. This has held up extremely well! The hinge for the top did pull a screw but I’m not sure if that was due to the kids abuse, leaving it open in windy conditions or design. I could fix it myself with some epoxy but decided just to order a new one. I was willing to spend the bit of $ to replace it since it is a much better quality than other products out there. To my surprise, when I called Lifetime they sent me a new one as a courtesy. This company is awesome! I have Several different products made by Lifetime and have been very happy with all of them. I am and will be a loyal customer not just for the quality but also their terrific customer service!!

This Deck box has sat outside in my Michigan winters and hot summers for two years, and as I was washing it off this Spring, I thought it looked as good as NEW! I bought this Box mainly because I have two very young grandchildren, and this Box has a slow close top, NO pinched fingers! I use it to store my patio cushions and outdoor toys. It holds a lot of stuff. I like this Box so much I am planning to buy another one for my dock, so I can store my boating and fishing gear in it. Best outdoor storage box on the market!

This deck box holds 11 cushions for our patio furniture. We didn't want to leave the cushions on the furniture as we were concerned of mold from rain, fading from sun, bird messes so we bought this deck box. We had a very heavy rain the night we used this box for the first day and our pillows stayed totally dry!

Not trimming all excess from the sides, front and back caused misalignment of bolt holes which attach the hinges. After you screw them together you later find out the holes in the sides and hinges do not line up. I had to force the sides up using clamps so the holes would line up. It took me two hours working by myself to assemble this unit. Overall I am satisfied with my purchase an you can see by my four star rating. Who are you to tell me how long my Nickname has to be? Many people have two character nickname.
