I bought this bin and placed it on the dock by our boat. It is very water resistant, sturdy has by far the best hinges and can take a lot of weight on the lid. I had other bins previously for the same application and they barely lasted a season. Had to junk them. I would give this higher stars but they they only allow five.

Box is perfect for what we need! Huge capacity storage. It came in a flat box so a lot of assembly needed. Easy to follow instructions just time consuming a weekend afternoon project getting it together. Depending on what you store inside, make sure it doesn’t have to be moved once loaded!

When assembling, the tabs that hold the walls to the base are made of too soft of a plastic. No matter how I tried to slide together, the tabs on the conners deformed and didn't lock to bottom. Solution I came up was to use screws on two of corners from bottom, seems fine, the rest assembled fine

The storage container is very nice and durable, however the assembly was horrific. Struggled to get past step one as the panels were slightly curved and the tabs would not stay in the slots to slide the panels. And not all the holes were predrilled in the lid so we had to create some. Very difficult to use screwdriver and/or socket wrench as there was no room to turn them. The product itself is very nice, however assembly could be improved.

Couldn't wait to get the deck box, we needed it ASAP for extra storage. As I was assembling it, I noticed the front panel was distorted and would not go together. We debated about sending it back, but we knew it would be another week at least, we decided to wait. I put it in the sun and manufactured a clamping system, long story short, after about two hours I finally got it assembled. The lid still does not close without a strong force on the right hand corner, but does close secure, The front lip on the front panel is also distorted. We order this over others, because we have found Lifetime to be a good quality product. We were disappointed! It is a nice heavy built box and holds lot of stuff.

You will probably need two people to put this together. The front and back panels do not slide into the floor panel as easily as the instructions would indicate. We had to turn the entire unit vertically, make sure the slots were correctly aligned and then lift the entire unit a few inches above the floor and drop it to force the panels to snap into place. Otherwise, the assembly of the unit went according to the instructions. Only time will tell how well this deck box will hold up. When buying any item that requires assembly, always assume that the work will be more difficult than the instructions indicate.

I put it together myself without the help of a man. It was a bit tricky but finally came together well. I like that the lid closes and there are no cracks for bugs to crawl into once the lid is closed. The bottom fits together snugly once it was put together. This seems to be pretty sturdy, not wobbly at all, and my grandkids love sitting on it too. It is great to be able to store all those items, that used to just sit and collect dust and spiders, somewhere to protect them from the weather and bugs.

Bought on April 18, 2015 I purchased this for the storage capacity for my front porch. However, the time to put it together was over several hours. Would like to point out the molded bubble to go into the fitted slots on the bottom floor plate needs to be better trimmed to fit into the slots. The holes for the screws should have a starter hole or an inverted dimple on the other side for the screws to go in properly.

I used reward points to order this storage deck box thinking, based on the description, it would be the perfect accessory to my new gazebo. WHAT A PIECE OF TRASH! The side screw holes should have had starter holes created at the factory and some were off a bit which made attaching the sides together a two man project. I had to google a U Tube video to figure out how to attach the hinges and gas springs because the written instructions weren't cutting it. And the lid - OMG don't even get me started on that - as in previous reviews - it wouldn't line up with the sides and front to allow closure. My brother and I wound up using a heat gun to gently carve away the plastic on the left and right sides of the lid to allow it to close and keep out the weather and bugs. The only way I would buy one of these again would be if it came already assembled. Once it's put together it is a substantial piece of storage and gets the job done. I have 8 folded stadium chairs and a radio in mine and plenty of room for anything else I want to store out of the weather. So, in closing, I recommend buying a case of beer before starting - two if you have someone helping you - you'll need it - and if you don't drink, trying to put this beast together will drive you to it.
