I'm now on hold for 20 minutes for customer service with respect to an assembly problem. And to make it worse, even though the interminable wait is frequently interrupted by a recording indicating "press 1 to leave a message", that feature doesn't work. In any event, the panels must be warped or otherwise defective and they do not fit together. Hope this review elicits a response before I return the item or initiate a chargeback.

Bought this outdoor storage deck box to store all my pool equipment and kiddy pool toys. I thought it was very attractive and just what I needed. With a year or so after my purchase the hinges all rusted along with and cover supports which all rusted and stained my pavers and is a real eye sore. If you plan on using it in Southwest Florida think twice as I am in the process of throwing mine into the garbage.

This is the third deck box that I purchased. The first two were purchased over ten years ago and look and perform as good as new. Use them to store patio cushions, pool toys, pool chemicals, patio umbrellas and a host of other things. Never any weather or water damage. Hinges and top closers work like the day they were purchased. Probably one of the best products I have ever purchased.

The Lifetime 130 Gal Deck Box is well made, sturdy, easy to assemble (it took my husband by himself 20-30 minutes to assemble), it is huge and looks great! Lifetime has made some changes on how the pistons and hinges attach, I had read some reviews that expressed some concern but when I looked at the reviews pictures, like 2012, 2013 reviews, our deck box assembly and hardware is little different. I do not think Lifetime supplies stainless steel nuts and bolts with this product which they should due to rusting issues, so my husband is going to replace the included nuts and bolts with stainless steel ones. We have gone through deck boxes every year for the past 3 years and I feel this deck box will last us many years to come. It is used for pool toys, and pool items and sits in direct sun on our deck. I bought this deck box a couple of years ago and, despite being subjected to Florida weather, it still looks new. It holds all of my pool equipment and chemicals and much more. Pretty easy to assemble, has never leaked, always closes tightly. Other non-Lifetime deck boxes I've owned are so much inferior to this one. Lifetime means Lifetime!

I appreciate how mujch this deck box holds. However, two months after assembly, I discovered the lounge cushions I put in it are mildewed and have mold on them! The box is leaking around the front edge (mainly around lock area) when it rains. It seems to fit together well, but there was about 2 cups of water sitting on top of the cushions and rug inside of the deck box. I now have a large piece of plastic covering it which looks horrible and defeats the purpose of a new deck box.

Not trimming all excess from the sides, front and back caused misalignment of bolt holes which attach the hinges. After you screw them together you later find out the holes in the sides and hinges do not line up. I had to force the sides up using clamps so the holes would line up. It took me two hours working by myself to assemble this unit. Overall I am satisfied with my purchase an you can see by my four star rating. Who are you to tell me how long my Nickname has to be? Many people have two character nickname.

As usual, another excellent LifeTime Product..made in the USA. I have three various sized LifeTime Tables, a round LifeTime picnic table w/three benches. All of which are unbeatable. About two weeks ago I purchased a 60 gal Patio Deck Box for my front porch and it went together with no problems. A week later I received the 130 gal Patio Deck Box for my back patio which went together even quicker (about 20 mins) as I knew what I was doing. Assembly is rather easy, just follow the instructions. I did predrill some of the screw holes just to make starting the screws easier. With a razor knife I also cut some of the flash plastic away from a few of the screw holes to facilitate easier insertion of the bolts to hold the lid hinge to the box. I am impressed with the lift supports (2 on the 130 gal, 1 on the 60 gal) which hold the lid up and prevent it from crashing down on your hands. Overall I can not be more pleased with these products. The quality is just so apparent. Well worth the money. I previously had a other major brand of Patio Deck Box and the Arizona sun ate away the lid away and the tan color stained pretty badly. That box was probably at least 5 years old. I will be curious to see how these new LifeTime Deck Boxes hold up.

I have purchased 3 of the Heavy-Duty Outdoor Storage Deck Box (130 Gallon). One of the boxes I use for the storage of pool chemicals. Because of the nature of these chemicals, the hinges inside the box started to rust and eventually break. This is not a manufacturing defect and was caused by me because I needed a place to store chemicals. John was kind enough to send me replacement hinges so that I could continue to use the box. I was willing to pay for the new hinges; but he went the extra mile to sending them at NO charge. Lifetime really stands behind their products. They have a customer for life!

I LOVE this huge container, I can get so many large patio things stashed in there for winter. I was calling to get a new hinge and shock for one side. Altho I didn't have my receipt and purchase date anymore, the customer service gentleman is sending me the parts free of charge!! yaaay! Thank you so much!! I am a customer forever!
