This deck box holds 11 cushions for our patio furniture. We didn't want to leave the cushions on the furniture as we were concerned of mold from rain, fading from sun, bird messes so we bought this deck box. We had a very heavy rain the night we used this box for the first day and our pillows stayed totally dry!

I bought this box and love it. In a very strong storm the back of the box blew off the box and I never found the back. I e-mailed Lifetime and they sent me a new back for the dock box. Although this was not covered by warranty (Acts of nature are not covered). Lifetime sent me a new back to the box. I installed t back correctly and it works like new. Thank yo Lifetime n I originally installed the box on my pier and during a very strong storm the back of the box blew off. Although the box is not covered by warranty, Not covered from the storm, (acts of nature are not covered), Lifetime sent me a new back for the box. Thank you Lifetime A great company.

I’m rating this product four stars without seeing it hold up in weather (I just finished assembling it). I had problems with the side panels aligning with the hinges to the lid. I had to unscrew the sides and lift them both slightly (be sure to look that the cut-out design on the outside is even with the front and back panels prior to screwing in the side panels, or you will run into a similar issue). I had to place one screw into the hinge from the inside out, or it would never have worked. My one concern is lifting the sides slightly…allowing water, ants, and other insects into the box through the bottom sides. I cannot see light coming through so far, so maybe the construction will be fine.

This box was easily put together by one person in about 30 minutes. Be careful when putting in the screws or you will strip them out. Don’t overtighten them. It’s plastic reinforced with fiberglass so it had some scratches on the edges and the top. I can see the fiberglass on the edges of the top and it was a little warped on one side so the top wasn’t going all the way down on one side. Other than these issues it looks like a sturdy box and the color worked for us. I will try to get the manufacturer to replace the top!

I wanted a container that would allow for patio cushions , of which one is a long bench cushion. This container is perfect. There is plenty of room. I even put my birdbath solar fountains inside....and there still is more available room. This was relatively easy to put together. Some of the screws go directly into/through the plastic and requires arm strength. Instead, I punched the holes first with a Phillips screwdriver to "open" the holes. That made it easier. I would recommend this- price & size are perfect.

I bought mine 9/2011 at[...]. It was a pain in the butt to put together by myself (wife was busy) and even though I followed instructions to the T it seems out of square and lid never easily closed and laid flat. It did keep water out (stored extra propane tank for grill as well as seat cushions) until some "varmits" started chewing on it to get in to get the bird seed my wife kept in it. Now I need a lid and front panel. Not sure if those parts are available or if I have to just buy a new one. I would recommend this to anyone needing outside storage. Just don't keep food or anything that will attract raccoons, squirrels, opossums, etc, as they have sharp teeth.

The dock box is great. Big and heavy duty. The assembly instructions, however are not very good. My wife gives them a C-, I'd go with a C. Also, the video that you can access that supposedly tells you how to assemble the box is terrible. It seems like every time the video gets to a critical point of the assembly, the camera pans away and robs you of the detailed view that you need. It ended up taking much longer to assemble than it should have. Heck, it's 6 resin panels that all just snap together and it took us a good hour to do it!

This deck box is nice but putting it together should have been much easier. The first problem was step one—the notches you use to lock it in needs some further design tweaks. We finally got it together by using a can of kitchen spray oil. The other issue is there are three different size bolts/screws, a smarter designer would have tried to create a piece that one size wrench would work for the whole build. Now that it is done I am happy with the deck box.

I have the 130 gallon AND the 80 gallon storage boxes. One for the downstairs deck and one for the upstairs deck. the things keep my cushions, covers and misc outdoor toys corralled and neatly--and DRYLY--hidden away but in east reach. They also provide a handy 'worktop' in each area--kind of like a sideboard in the dining room. I am EXTEMELY happy with these items! And they were easy to put together (though, a small powered screwdriver sure did help!)

We received this to replace a Rubbermaid one we had purchased through Sam's Club. The Rubbermaid one was of terrible construction and the top lid would fall down on your head easily. I saw this one and it looked better made so we ended up with two of them. The first one took a lot longer than expected as it was hard to screw in all the parts, but it is well made. The second box which we put together several weeks later went together much easier. Overall since they are outside and contain chair cushions, I have not had any leaks but it still shifts meaning the lid is off which if you put a lock on it should cure that. I haven't gotten around to it yet but plan to prior to the winter.
