After a rain, water seems to cling to the underside of the lid; when you open the lid, that water falls onto the contents (Not good). If the outside dimensions were the inside dimensions, it would have fit my larger cushions better. I'm keeping it because It's a good-looking box and appears to be well made.

I was searching for a outdoor storage box for our pool deck and looked at different brands of storage units. I read the reviews of different companies and Lifetimes outdoor storage box had the highest rating among consumers. So I ordered one and I was amazed at how well built it was and how simple it was to assemble. I'm very pleased with the purchase. On a side note we have a Lifetime Basket Ball goal I bought 8 years ago that is still in excellent condition. I'm now looking to purchase some additional Lifetime benches for our pool deck. Thanks Lifetime for making a product that's built to last.

I was looking for a storage box that could hold six, 4" thick chair cushions and still close without having to sit on the lid. That's exactly what I got with this purchase! It was so easy to put together. It looks nice, not cheap. It definitely cost more than the others' I was looking at but, the money spent was well worth it. With the hydraulics under the lid, one person can take things out or put them away without fear of the lid coming down on their head. It's sturdy too. I'm not worried about anything happening when someone who's larger sits on it. I can't say enough good about it.

I just picked up two of these storage boxes yesterday and put them together today, ( 1-05-2020). I was going to get the instruction manual and review it at work but the only box I opened did not have one. No problem, easy enough to print off from the Lifetime website. It was actually easy to put together, it was recommended to use two people but my wife was at work and I did it myself. The first one took about an hour as I went slow and kept refering to the pictures. The manual was right on target so don't skip over any pages as tempting as it will be, and your box will come out perfect. I put our chair cushions in one box, it held six chair cushions and a three person swing cushions. Still some room left. Anyway, very happy with this product so far and looking forward to many years service.

I have owned the Lifetime 130 gallon storage box for several years. If you saw it today, you would think it is brand new. This product can take a beating in the heat or cold and perform perfectly every time. My favorite part is the gas assist pistons that hold up the lid and keep it from falling down on my head or hands. A close second favorite feature is a place to lock the lid. I store pesticides, fertilizers and garden tools in this storage box and use a padlock for extra safety and peace of mind. Since the lid can handle up to 900 pounds of weight on it, I don't have to worry if I stand, sit or keep things on the top. Strong, safe, versatile and good looking - definitely worth the price!

Just assembled this unit yesterday. In addition to tools listed in the instructions I needed 10 mm and 13mm wrenches and sockets. Ends and sides did not fit together without gaps at top or bottom, not flush top to bottom. Star (Phillips) heads on screws are too small for good grip. Some screws had to be put in at an angle because holes did not perfectly match receptacles. Difficult to believe that the box will be waterproof let alone water resistant in the foul weather common here at 8,600 ft. in the Rocky Mountains. I will caulk inside and out but I suggest applying caulk to all seams, bottoms and sides and ends, as they are assembled, then inside and out. Why is there a significant openings to the outside at the hinge elbows?

This is a very sturdy, well designed storage box that can withstand rain and weather. It easily stores my grilling supplies including 2-15# bags of lump coal! chimney starter! small waste basket, 2 folding chairs and 2 side shelves for grill. Oh, and a can holding bird seed. As with all products that require assembly, be sure to read and follow the instructions.

I did not need a helper until adding the lid channel. Easy to assemble. Holds all our deck cushions and more. Appears to be rodent proof, well sealed. If I was to say anything against it, it would be that it is heavy. Takes 2 people to move around. Wheels on one end would have helped. But with that being said, it's just what we needed.

I bought this deck box in gray and it looks fantastic. I keep it exposed on the deck to hold furniture cushions. It fits 8 cushions: 2 chair bottoms + 2 chair backs + 2 loveseat cushions + 2 loveseat backs. The material of the box is sturdy and strong, a la Rubbermaid. It has the best instructions for assembly I've ever seen. Clear with pictures and videos! Plus all of the large plastic pieces are labeled with a code used in the instructions. Very easy to follow. Don't be put off if the screws are difficult to get in. Keep persevering with a socket wrench and they will slowly eat into the plastic and the nuts will fit onto them.... promise! Also, I suggest don't struggle to move the VERY heavy box around. Open it up and lift out all of the individual parts which are easy to carry to place of assembly. Then move the box without the lid to where you want it to reside and put the now-heavy-with-parts-lid on there. Suggestions for manufacturer: - It's a little hard to be sure which nut goes with which screw & which screw you are referring to. I suggest you state their lengths/diameters. - If the box were 2 inches wider and an inch longer, cushions would fit a LOT better and not strain closure of the lid. - If the box were 4-5 inches taller, I could have added 2 lounge cushions and had them all in one place. - A ratchet socket wrench won't work in several places, either because the screw is literally touching the box on the bottom or the design inside the box precludes the ratchet from fitting in front of the screw. Assembly is easier whenever you can use the ratchet vs manual. -Add a gizmo to put through the lock hole to keep it securely closed.
